3.0 is actually pretty GOOD! Thanks Devs!

3.0 brought me much more fun than it ever has.

Pros:

  1. PERKS - damn good! So many ways to explore and experiment. I can fiddle with different specs all week! Perks are MUCH more useful. And talk about Corruption - we now make a “real choice” between this or that. Adding 9 or 10 corrupted attributes can make a huge differernce. Really put the pre-3.0 perks to shame (they suck before 3.0).

  2. Building hammer - now this makes more sense. Building is no longer a pain! Refurbishing is 10x faster! And the new interaction MOVE is way better than “return into inventory” when you just need to reposition something. The only downside is finding the pieces you want to build, since the classification system is a bit messy. Let me elaborate:
[Building pieces] sorted by style, awesome!
[Crafting stations] why is fluid press in Alchemy? I learned it in Cooking!
[Decorations] shouldn’t be called “decorations”, since these things have real purpose aside from cosmetical. Also, there’s only 1 bed under BEDS category. Suggestion: make bed “handcraft”, easier to find alongside bedrolls.

  3. Sorcery - Nice addition!
[Sacrifice] Interesting! And dark too! The ceremony is too slow though.
    [Illusion] True appreciation of beauty!
[Transportory Stone] Quality of Life! …Wait… it can only be dismantled! My silver, NOOOO!!!

Cons:

Some recurring issues. Not big problems, but if fixed, will improve QOL a lot.

  1. Garrison armor’s bench - still no basic armors
  2. Animal names - still not showing. I just want to know what the monster is called.
  3. Thrall engagement status - still not showing. I just want to know if they are guarding me or guarding area if I forgot.
  4. Corpse on floor - still disappearing
  5. Arrows types - some are classified as weapons, others as consumables(?). Please make them one.

That’s it. Overall a great update.
Looking for further improvement. Thanks!

I support this opinion. Thanks Funcom.

I just wish it had BUFFS:

  1. In the summoning stone: for abysmal horse 2 hours and level 20, and demon 2 hours level 20.

  2. Tallest and impossible wall of fire to be and climb.

  3. And flying bat + 50% stamina, it’s dropping really fast.

  4. Illumination Green Lights Spell increase the brightness and diameter of the same to illuminate like a red mother torch, only with green light it is clear.

But I’m loving the game, especially the lightning in PvP.

I only play single player so can’t comment on that. But rebalancing is constantly needed for any PvP games for sure.

What I can to say is - I like some of the NERFS

Nerfed thrall HP - pretty decent! God, the old bloodbag thralls were making the combat so drowsy. They never get killed! Now they are very easy to get below 50%, which made me sweat quite often. I finally gotta DO something to help them and make myself useful. In PvP, I would suggest (presumably) that thralls are clever enough to avoid gas bombs, so with lower HP they die faster but not easier.

Nerfed movement speed - but buffed combat maneuver! Makes Horses more useful in short/mid distance travels and combat smoother. Also, the 3rd perk in Agility tree makes you even faster (like before), which really draw a line between an agile assassin and a strong brute.

This was the most fun update I have had in this game since I started playing it in beta in 2017.

It’s a lot better they just need to focus on balancing / performance/ and growing pop for now.

Yup… Good job @Funcom ! A few things to iron out ASAP but they know what those are! I’m liking all the changes - even the ones a few noisy people are complaining about. Please trust your designer and ignore the noise! Good stuff!!!
