40 minutes to be able to move character

died in the undead city , respawn at base had to wait 40 m to be able to move the character and died of thirst right after. respawn again, lots of time until I could use the map room, when I finally got to the place I died could not retrieve any of my stuff. basically spent over an our not being able to play. and when it finally worked, no gear to be found. what a great game this is. really glad to have spent my time with this

Had to wait 40 min to move? Did you try rolling? Sometimes when my character spawns they are immobile but one roll and i’m free as a bird

I admit sometimes my character gets stuck, have to roll all direction, jump, run, walk or just generally panic. I have been knocked into rocks, trees and been unable to move until I destroy the tree or rock. If you don’t place your bed right you can spawn partially in walls unable to move so careful on that also. There is also a bug I notice when I log in sometimes where I can’t move with key or turn with mouse, I hit the I key to open a menu then exit and can move again. I learned that through panic.

I have also experienced this, not just when spawning but also when using elevators, Once couldn’t get out of a vertical elevator, if my character jumped I was instantly transported to the top of the elevator which was enclosed but as I fell to the ground I would be teleported to the bottom platform on the ground, and when I saw teleported I mean literally my character would instantly appear either at the top platform or bottom, no actual falling, just instantly appear at one end or the other and was unable to walk out of the elevator platform, every-time I did it would port me back to it like 2 seconds after I move away from it, Eventually I had to remove the elevator which allowed me to move again and then replace it.

The worst experience I have had however was getting stuck in my pet elephant, it had me pinned against a wall in one of the thrall camps, because I had just cleared it there were no enemies to aggro it away from me, I stood there for ages until the camp enemies re-spawned and luckily one re-spawned close enough to aggro onto me and then my elephant went to fight him and I was free, the problem in that situation was because it was a thrall camp I couldn’t put the elephant on guard this area, I tried in vain to tell it to guard a location just outside the camp but I just was out of range to command it to do that… Was super frustrating…

I blame the Exiled Lands’ distinct lack of coffee. How can you expect your character to start moving around so quickly after waking up in bed without caffeine? :coffee:
