The cake literally says it is made with honey in the description.

We have honey and berries in the game, it should require them in the recipe. It doesn’t take that much effort to acquire them.

This one is hoping that we, in a more comprehensive overhaul of the food system later, get an actual cake that is made with berries and honey. One that is edible.

This one also is quite happy with it not being only available for a couple weeks.

For the time being, this matches up with how the other display foods are, mostly. For example, the Roasted Ham placeable is Cooked Pork and an Iron Bar or two.
We don’t eat it, but one of the ingredients is edible.

Anniversary display cake is easier than a later cake may be. Because, let’s be honest, we don’t have milk or butter (yet?) And just bread is no great cake (so long as we don’y go too far back into the definition of cake). But as an easier to craft reward alternative, that’s grand.

So, what would we make a hypothetical cake in game with?
We don’t have flour in game…
This one thinks…
Seeds, Spice (processed plant fibre), Honey, Leavening agent, Dried Berries (we don’t have candied or honeyed berries), and Rum, Wine, or Firewater?
We could skip the leavening agent if we use Ale as an ingredient.
Should it give the energized trait like the Iced Tea?
Call it Sugar Rush instead?

This one recently made “Companion Cube” rice crispy treats for some youngster’s party. So is in a bit of a food mood.

Funny (for me at least, it is a good memory) story: when we were at the university, one of my classmates had birthday, and since we were geologist students, my brightest idea ever came out from genius gigamind: put a giant slab of rock inside the cake!
Well, night went well, we drank a bit (heh…) and he started slicing up the cake. He heard some screeching, but we said it is just chocolate covered peanut bits! So he continued. When he sliced the whole cake in half, the shock on his drunken face was priceless!
Now he has a pet rock since then.

So a cake made from iron fits perfectly in the Conan world I think, only the true survivors with the strongest teeth can munch that thing down!
