Basic Info:
Platform: PlayStation 5
Issue Type: Crash
Game Mode: Online Official
Server Type: PvE
Map: Isle of Siptah
Server Name: 8068
Bug Description:
Log into Siptah official server. Server crashes after 5 minutes. Happened about 30 times tonight.
And again. The entire server keeps rebooting. About to say to hell with Siptah. First time I tried it and the server is resetting any progress I make.
Still crashing. When are you going to fix 8068? It’s disconnecting hourly.
Still disconnecting. Come on, it’s been two weeks. This server is rebooting multiple times a day.
How are we supposed to play anything riskier than harvesting plant fiber when at any moment everything freezes and you get disconnect for ten minutes to log on and find your character dead and body delayed. This is getting behind ridiculous now.
Still disconnecting. Is the hot fix to the hot fix going to address this?
Still crashing. This is just absurd.
It’s 8:30, you know what that means???
Disconnecting from server time.
9 reboots the past 24 hours. Now I get to wait ten mins for the server to come back up and hope me and my thralls aren’t dead because I had the audacity to try and actually play this bloody game. I’m tired of harvesting. I’d like to actually be able to do something without fear of the game crashing EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Get it together Funcom. This is past a joke now.
Okay, plot twist. Since the hotfix Tuesday, the server has not crashed once.
And down it goes again. Been down an hour now.
I think the only real solution right now is a complete roll-back of the last update. I haven’t seen this many issues with servers crashing in a very long time. A roll-back to when the game was mostly working is necessary.

I think we’re too far past that now. It’s been almost 4 weeks. The amount of progression players would lose…
To some of us it would be worth losing a few weeks progress to make the game fun again because if they don’t do it some of us are looking at losing the entire game. I don’t want to play it anymore because of all the changes, bugs, and issues this update introduced, but I do want to be able to play the version of Conan Exiles that I paid for - not this monetized dumpster fire. A roll back would at least make the game tolerable and I would start playing it again. No roll back and I’m probably done - and I’m not alone.
If done properly a roll back won’t need to wipe out all player progress made since the patch or update, just like they don’t need to wipe all progress when they put out a patch or update.
I understand you point. A rollback is different than a patch or update. An update creates a save point and the update is applied in place at that moment in time. A rollback reverts back to the previous save point before the update. If the devs revert to the save point before the update, anything done since then would be removed. In this case, the servers would have to go back to April 2nd. Any save points after that would include AOW Chapter 4. There isn’t a developer on this planet that would roll back software a full month.
It’s not the same as rolling back an OS to a previous restore point. The coding in gaming is too intertwined to be able to rollback a key feature while retaining game play details. They only way backward is forward and pushing out hot fixes
There’s no way a roll back is happening now. The time for that has long past. This game has been evolving and undergoing huge changes since it first released. That’s not going to change until they drop it. The changes they made with last update did not change as much as some of the updates. The game is nothing at all like what was released in 2017. If you’re going to do a rollback to a point in the past to keep some happy where does it stop?? Prior to the update? 3 updates ago? 15? No they may tweak settings and revert changes through more patches but a rollback? Dreaming.
Dreaming? Yeah, I know it’s not likely but the roll back I’m asking for isn’t a server roll back, it’s a patch/update roll back. They can even keep any new cosmetics, building pieces, etc. pretty easily so people don’t lose buildings, etc. It’s not that hard to do, a talented coder or two could handle it very easily.
You clearly don’t understand. Not sure how many times I need to explain this to people. If you can implement changes via an update, patch, or hot fix you can re-implement changes from an older update, patch, or hot fix in the same way. Sure, it takes a little bit of work but it’s less work than making a while new update or patch. Just like you lose no progress with a new update or patch when they’re implemented properly you wouldn’t lose progress if they rolled back an update or patch if they implemented that properly. All that data is still out there, all the information on the servers is still there, it doesn’t just erase/delete all of that. I’m not asking for SERVERS to be rolled back, just the asinine changes they keep making.
I do software development for a living. I clearly have no idea how patches, hot fixes and updates work. Don’t tell my boss.
Your secret is safe with me.
