A couple suggestions for vanilla

~Let people make aquariums and keep fish they find from traps (2 of each only) for breeding purposes.

~Make us able to create/tame Sandbeasts and Lions. Make each really hard to make/feed. Like Lion will only eat exquisite meat feed and Sandbeast requires 297647 things to make it, lol.

Also reptile terrariums where we can house small snakes for ichor over time would be cool.

I wouldn’t exactly go with Aquarium for this. The level of glass skill needed to make one is probably beyond what you’d find in the game.

That said, a small fish pond, around 2x1 foundation blocks in size, could be possible.
In the GUI place fish as you would fuel or a thrall.
The pond will then passively generate fish at a rate slower than Fish Traps.

This is to balance it, and make fish accessible where there is no natural water.

Of course, the GUI and placing of fish could be largely unnecessary and instead you craft the pond, and then place tidbits of food in it to feed the fish and obtain some.

As for the terrarium, again the glass is too much of an issue to be utilized correctly.

Instead, a more appropriate game solution would be a snake pit. In which you have a stone-lined pit where the snakes live. This was commonly a means of execution for some, in which they were tossed into the pit for the venomous snakes to bite and kill.

For our purposes, a 4x4 snake pit, in which you have snakes that you can then feed like an animal pen.

Well the aquarium can totally work. You can currently make glass and they could make an aquarium out of glass, hardened steel and brimstone or something.

Welcome back Crysis.

Also, I appreciate your suggestions! Sorry if I was a bit abrupt, was in a battle in-game, lol.

Thanks Fable. I’ve been hip deep in Arch-Tempered monsters on Monster Hunter, but the festival is over, so I’m loitering on more boards now. Planning to try and update to 1.41 to start playing Exiles again. I was working on 1.40 (had 12gb downloaded already), but then my damn PS4 had to swap to the 1.41 update the other day and ruined that. So now my PS4 is locked offline until I can get Conan updated, probably by next Sunday.

@momma_jibi
No worries. Mainly just thinking that a pond or pit are more appropriate than making a metal box to stick things in. You can get the same effect, possibly with a visual of fish or snakes actually moving about in it. Glass would just be too fragile for the sort of rough living we have, and if you used metal, it wouldn’t really look as nice.

Another suggestion. Animal Tender or Zookeeper or Animal Tamer thrall only found surrounded by certain animals. Could make animal taming go faster/better/more chances for higher tier animals and/or more drops from animals in the pen.

More suggestions:
~Make animal gathering be in stages. Hide, then meat, then bone. That way you can choose how long to harvest them for certain resources.

~Give players an option to turn off the automatic “ghost” items in the toolbar in the Gameplay menu.

More suggestions:
Be able to hit Shift+F or Shift+Click to tell a certain amount of things to queue because sometimes we don’t want everything in a stack made (and, let’s be real here, clicking one at a time and hitting f only saves so much time, we could save even more time this way.). So instead of having to hit one at a time, or 10, hit Shift+F and tell it in a tiny chat box the exact amount of something you want made.

More suggestions:
The ability to hold E over a dancer to choose what dance they use and when. In order to tell them to do a dance, you will have had to also learned it. Almost as if you’re teaching it to them.

Honestly i like the idea of having a “hatchery” or pond that could be built so I don’t always have to build near a water source for fish. I never tried putting a fish trap in a well tho, I’m assuming that doesn’t work right? Because it would count as an object collision I think. I like to build hidden cave bases so the more self contained the better.

Thanks! I feel the same on the hatchery or pond or tank bit. I built my latest base in the high north and getting to a water source is a bit of a bother. Especially when you first start and don’t have map room. I’d love to be able to not be “confined” to a water source, as well.
