I believe the words hack, or hackers here are used “in general”. It is not the first time people (including me) that has low knowledge or none, to speak in general terms without knowing or intent to insult!
It is far known, that people with power choose how to use it! This power however can become frightening!

They go to private servers too.
Need to be invited - not once has anyone been on my server. Rotation of passwords and never on the server list. Problem solved.
Oh i forgot backups of server on an encrypted drive.
It’s an easy out to assume that anyone wants to play on a private, password protected server. Kudos to you for providing it. Awesome option, but an option.
That doesn’t solve the problem as a whole for the game and all players.

Easy answer surely. Not sure you can really weigh pleasing people on whether or not hacking exists in Conan. Most legitimate players will agree that it just needs to be properly addressed and prevented.
Nonetheless it’s a pretty obvious global issue that the company will address eventually, hopefully.
That requires cooperation of the community. And if they dont cooperate, then there isnt alot the company can do about it.
I doubt they are going to hire a cyber security specialist just to monitor official servers.
I think you’re over complicating it. Many successful games have implemented various means of addressing such things as “hacks”.
It can be said that they are successful partly because of the way they address it.
Blaming the community for something that the company should already be doing is kinda backwards. Expecting all actors to be good ones instead of bad is a dream and not reality either 
That is why things like the ToC exist and the EULA. It is expected that people act accordingly and if they do not there are consequences. But some of that responsibility rests on the company especially when there is nothing that the average player can do.

True! But there is a great difference you know! In private servers justice prevail! What I mean is that the bad can be undone, in officials forget it!
The cheaters will crush your moral, you’ll get no refunds and you have to be very experienced to understand and hold evidence hoping that someone “may” believe you. In private servers you have the discord channels, people in there know you very well, they will believe you without saying or proving many and admin will undo your disaster providing you more than you lost!
I play my favorite mode on officials too, I love official servers, but in privates the game is safer and the fun way more guaranteed than the official servers.
By all means, I don’t intend to insult official gaming, but playing in both, when it comes to pvp, I prefer private servers for decades of reasons. I respect you a lot @Kikigirl, but in this @Akomo has a valid point!

I commended his offering of a private server, his opinion and that there is a choice. As I have done many times in other threads.
But it isn’t the only and is definitely not the actual solution to the problem which prompted this thread. It is an oft repeated comment which disregards the fact that official servers exist and the company should be held accountable to a certain standard in the industry. It is a basic expectation of players with any game that offers online multiplayer play.
I’m not going to whine and pout about the problem with Admin Abuse on privates but that is a common complaint from many people who have experienced it, myself included. That is not to say that it plagues all private servers but it is a deterrent.
Christ sometimes I really wonder on here… this isn’t a discussion on whether a couch should be purple or beige…

I don’t think it gonna change anything, BattleEye is just bad, easy to bypass and relying on it is pointless - it will prevent only everyday joe from cheating but if someone can dig a bit and find information they can easily do that.

Good effort but i think most of points / solutions are invalid.
Tip 1: suicide everytime you are going to disconnect from the game
I agree - it can prevent cheaters from finding location on your base (they can see locations of all players
Tip 2: use stygian beds (it seems that they can’t teleport to them i don’t know why)
I doubt it has anything to do with bed / type of bed - cheters can ‘teleport’ to any base with one method whenever there’s bed in it or not.
Tip 3: Don’t use chests or vaults (it is weird, but they can steal things from inside without breaking it…)
Yes they can but having items in benches have even more risk - even non cheating player will have easier access to your loot.
Tip 4: Use Bearers as storage. They can’t steal from them and if they are protected from other thralls, it will be better.
Makes sence - i personally think mix of different ways to store items is best apporach vs cheaters and normal players.
Tip 5: Use body vaults as a secondary storage. There’s a way to make your body disappear instantly, i didn’t figure it out yet, but this is the way to go.
I agree but i think it shouldn’t be part of game - its exploit.
Tip 6: When you see them on the map, it’s better not to engage or if you have to, go all in without much expensive gear with yourself, because they can teleport to you or teleport you to them and there’s speed hack.
Agree, best you can do is engage them to record footage and send report immediatelly.

Its pointless - everything except building blocks (foundations, walls etc) will render faster and that thing alone will let them see any chest seen in base / do some other ‘things’
To be honest small tips like that wouldn’t change much - if they know cheats that are around you can’t really do much to ‘survive’ / keep base or loot. Best thing we can do is record footages / send reports.

unfortunately this thread isn’t about etymology.
And about my tips, i know what i’m saying… you can be sure of it =)
some tips are vague because there are different types of programs.
some of this tips works very well. They are intended to give people who still play on official servers, a chance do overcome this issue until funcom find a way to deal with it (maybe it won’t happen, but who knows).
There was a hacking wave in 2018-2019, it ended after some time… i don’t know how and why it ended, but ended.

I really don’t know why and how, but it really works.
when i said containers, i meant every kind of container which includes workbenches.
It is the only thing we can do, but it takes too much time to get them banned. In the meantime, you can get totally wiped.
And about that, the issue here is not that they can’t see the chest, but that they can’t interact with it.
If the chest is blocked, they can’t steal from it, but they will still be able to see them.
