Why would Funcom ruin their game by funding hackers?

I’m pretty invested in this topic since it affects me but I’m not going to subscribe to a conspiracy theory that Funcom is behind it. It’s begging the question and a bit of false equivalencies.

Which I know they’re not.

The developers of hacks know that when players are competitive and there’s cracks in the code then there’s a market to exploit. Money is what they want. So $100 a month x even 10 is easy cash.

I would not want rando players to admin Officials so I can see why they have never taken the numerous offers up. What process would they abide by?

They should be on payroll and adhere to the terms of their employment.

It’s bad enough we have the vigilante report system that has seen so many unfairly actioned on.
