Every stream they ignore any huge issues. Especially any references to hackers.

Remember the several iterations of duping? Ignored.

They’re pumping their chests. Anyone could deduce that by buying new accounts that = profit (to a degree). It doesn’t mean Funcom gives the green flag.

The majority of the PVP playerbase are still just players and not using hacks. The hackers can’t run the program simultaneously while logged in to multiple accounts, it doesn’t work like that. So deducing that active player numbers would plummet does not make sense.

Player numbers would increase if addressed because the biggest reason why PVP Officials for PC are suffering in population is because of hackers.

What would also happen is that if players feel safe enough to enjoy the game as intended there’s potential for additional revenue from BP, BLB and DLCs.

The active player base for Official PVP has been no more than 200 players for years and is very quickly dwindling.

Can they though? Will they? There’s a lot of assumptions to go around. Yours is a conspiracy theory that Funcom is at the helm of the hacking epidemic.

My assumptions are the following: they don’t know what they’re doing. They don’t have the money to support proper anti-cheat. They don’t have the staff to implement any further development to prevent hacking. Or, there’s other things in the works that have not been announced yet which means that they can’t take the staff/cost to properly fix it in favour of the new thing which is taking time.

It has been suggested that with the takeover of Tencent that this lead to the Tencent formula: buy a game, implement a BP and shop, build the hype, reduce support, then recycle. This is a zombification of the game which I would tend to lean towards.

This in itself is an entirely different monster. Zendesk can be gamed by anyone, hacker or not.
