Then we are in accord! LOL

One thing I think people forget (or very few even know in the first place) is that the folks who built this game to begin with had never used UE4 and didn’t know the first thing about it. And rather than hire on a few folks who DID know it they decided to just “learn as they went” and made the whole damn game completely blind. As a result there are many flaws in the game that are literally “baked in” and can never be fixed or undone. We know this because back in its first year they actually said so and man do I wish I had screenshot it.

So what I have often thought as we’ve seen disaster after disaster as they’ve added new content is that the REAL problem may be that they are simply trying to build new and “heavy” things on a shoddy foundation full of cracks.

And this is the main reason I say they should just call it a day and release this game into the wild and the care of modders and private servers entirely. In that setting, the game has endless potential and life. But in the commercial setting of modern games? Not so much. And it’d be great if modders no longer had to endure abuse and heart attacks every time there’s a game update that thoughtlessly breaks all their stuff. If modders no longer had that to worry about I think we’d see a pretty amazing renaissance for this game.
