Breaking bonds with your Thrall or Pet makes sence: they are free and return to where they belong. But Golems are not alive! They are just mechanic creatures literally breaking when magic leaves them. It would be reasonable if after breaking bonds they dropped a part of materials used to make them: some Stone, Iron, some Blood Crystals. Not a ton of materials but the amount you get harvesting your dead Golem with a Hardened Steel Pick for example.
