About this "fling shot" bow that does 1 damage

Continuing the discussion from Fling Shot: What am I missing here?:

I was looking up legendary gear and found this list of all the bows. what am i missing? this bow does LESS damage than the basic ones, or even the middle class ones u generally gain from taiming archers. am i missing something? is this supposed to be a knockout bow?

It looks cool.
That’s about all this one can find.
Altho it would not be the first “legendary” weapon in the game that is basically useless as anything other than ornament.

Pretty much. Use blunted arrows to knock out thralls.
