Where the heck is the Exchange, it has been forever back on TSW since I played and finding anything right now is driving me nuts.
Are you talking about the Auction House or the Exchange (which didn’t even exist in TSW)?
Both are governed by supply and demand.
Aurum buy orders can currently take six or more weeks to go through because there are more people wanting to buy aurum than there are people wanting to sell it.

Actually I am asking how you even find the Exchange?
Press “H” it should open the auction window. There you’ll find “Exchange” on the top tabs.
