After discussing horse OP ad nauseum, I realized that there really isn’t a negative for those riding full gallop and hitting a tree or a rock. I would like that corrected and the horse and rider should take damage (maybe even fall off the horse) . This provides a much more obvious counter to horses that a person on foot can utilize…the terrain.
The fact is that in real life such a collision will not happen: even if you try to direct the horse towards a tree or a large stone, the horse will avoid a collision. Therefore, in this case, everything is done correctly in the game.
Yes, please.
Then lower the speed of the horse and the damage potential with it. Horses have to have a weakness for balancing. The horse wouldnt full gallop that close to trees either
Brush, vines, water (not swimmable water) , etc would also slow them for fairness honestly. They are not camels so even loose sand would so them too.
The only acceptable change to horses to those who don’t like them is to have them deleted and the players who offended them getting banned for using them.
We’ve been over this discussion before.
I love horses. They just need balance.
Sounds like the opportunity for introducing some new gameplay mechanics: the Christopher Reeve Maneuver.
Ow…that not crossing a line, that’s stomping on it and giving it the middle finger. Funny but wow.
I thought about stopping before crossing the line, but I was already going too fast…
I was paralyzed.
Damn dude, even I wouldn’t do that.
Ehh, no… No thanks! Or are we going to impliment that for characters and other followers too? Yeah, thought so… Sounds totally wonky. As it is now getting thrown from your horse, is enough IMO.
Yeah, if we also make heavy mounts able to smash through rocks, trees, and T1 blocks, then that’s an acceptable trade off… Not to mention the makings of some hilarious content!
It would make sense if a horse would throw the rider if he/she tried to make the horse go where they horse shouldn’t. Also, a horse should definitely stop in its track and throw the rider when it faces a player or npc with a polearm – horses are pretty smart animals, it’s the riders who mostly are dumb.
