Thank you so much; I appreciate all of you! I am going to try getting the Ethernet cable and I’ve adjusted some of the settings. We’ve been playing on co op and haven’t had any issues so far, so fingers crossed.
I get all of those symptoms on long distance servers with high ping. I don’t get any of those symptoms on nearby servers with low ping. I don’t know your WiFi spec nor how much latency your proximity to the WiFi router might be adding. In any case I would recommend using a cable and making sure you’re chosen server is indeed under 100 Ping.

If a direct line is an option, I would go for that over a WiFi connection.
I know around 30+ gamers in my IRL social group, some are even in IT
None use WiFi to game…
except for low impact games like you’d play on a phone.

The animals floating around is common and has nothing to do with you. Go into settings while on the game and start turning things down like turn the grass off, in video set to low end laptop mode.If that helps then its your computer. You need at least a 12 mbps internet. If your on a server that has lots of players it could be a server lag. To check that just start a new character on another server and see if u have the same problems. I have my own servers and play on 4 other servers and sometimes I see animals floating in the sky, my character jerking around, chest that sometimes dont open, work benches that will not place down etc. I have the best laptop and internet u can get.

Sounds like a GPU issue to me. Turn down your graphics settings in game and see what happens. I have been playing on a Wifi connection since day one but my old PC had the same issues. I upgraded to a gaming PC and bought an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT video card with 8 GB of onboard Ram and it made a huge difference.

I’ve played on Xbox and pc, I think this is a network issue. Since you experience it on both platforms. The game online runs well enough for me. I’ve never considered it unplayable or to buggy online.
Do you experience this is single player?
Also are you playing on a server in your region?
