Basic Info: Followers get stuck in water, then turn red

Bug Description:

While following near builds in water, the follower get stuck in the water, then turns red

Bug Reproduction:

Build in water, wait for follower to get stuck under water. Place follower on build, note they are now red.

I don’t know how long she was in the water. But next time she’d better put some sunscreen on. This is dangerous and permanent damage can remain!

Hi Dev,
I have this red skin issue while using a mod.
But the mod author confirmed it’s not “caused” by the mod, but rather “revealed” by it.
It’s a problem with texture loading sequence.
That’s proven seeing as other players having the same thing without mod.

My assumption is that you would prefer a saved file from a game where the condition is active. If the saved from from the game in which this occured is sufficient, please let me know and I will DM it to you.

Otherwise, I will endeavor to recreate the situation prior to sending the file.

Hello Mayra,

In my case, a save file is unnecessary, because everytime you restart the game, it’s back to normal.
You can actually test it easily by yourself:

  1. download Devious Desires MOD from steam workshop
  2. play Single Player
  3. find a thrall, interact with him/her with the Devious Desires features by pressing Shift+H
  4. after that, let him/her follow
  5. they turn red
