# After the update, the official server requires a password! What's the issue?

If you’re being locked out in the same way as the original poster, have you tried the workaround suggested in Dana’s post?

Hopefully there will be a proper fix in due course, but this workaround seems to have worked for others (see also the first few posts in this thread - [Patch 2.2.0 Discussion Megathread](https://forums.funcom.com/t/patch-2-2-0-discussion-megathread/302805) ) . If this workaround doesn’t apply to you,it is possible there may be another issue at play, in which case it would be good if you are able to provide additional details (among other things so you don’t get missed).
