"Age of Sorcery" is a different game

Once again they destroyed the game to get more money…
They made players and followers weaker and with less resistance to force players to buy sorcery items. This is not the game I bought. I want my money back!
Owners of such a game should have the option to keep the game they bought or exchange it for something else, as Funcom always arbitrarily does with updates that have little to do with real improvements (imagine that, even after all these years, you still eat food and you lose a small piece of your vitality line).

get in line , Runescape , Everquest , WoW , Even funcom own games has gotten revamp this is nothing new … your free to leave the game and the community in search of different company and game.
I feel your anger but only way to vote is to not pay the game anymore attention

a new game ? its still a lot of the same.

Oh, its not forcing no one to “buy” sorcery items, first sorcery sorcery can be easily forgotten and tossed aside.

How does buying a bookshelf or a fancy t1 building set will make your thralls better. I get you are unhappy but your arguments make no sense to me.

Easy. They’re motivational posters.

Just imagine how much stronger all your thralls would be if on the door of your fortress was a picture of a kitten hanging from a tree with the caption “Hang in there.” Your forces would be nigh invincible!

While I agree, that is not the Conan we knew (yes, it got improved a lot, expanded a lot, but the initial Conan-y feeling is long gone…), you won’t get your money back. You could never, you will never get your money back. It is not our game, we bought the rights to use it. We can make suggestions, bug reports, feedback, but that’s it.

In complete agreement. Same applies to other software like Microsoft, Adobe, Apple, Android, etc: suggestions and wishlists are made, but they remain just that. Have played since the game was first released. The core principles are still there - you fight a Lot, you build a Lot, and you (usually) have a ton of fun doing it. The theme of the game remains true to the genre (they even got full approval from grandson (or was it son?) of the Author).

Those of us that were there way back when the game dropped pre-alpha, the game has developed enormously, but has remained true to the overall genre. When the new company took over Funcom, it was only a matter of time before micro-transactions came in (they have it in most games now), but no-one is forced to buy those so that’s moot.

We make bug reports because they are very useful. Bugs always take time to resolve and will always rely on more than one instance and complete detail to replicate, treat and resolve.

ps: E.biker stating that players should get money back if a program changes from the original is absurd (see Microsoft/Apple/anyone) - but makes for a good, much repeated topic to push up topic comments/numbers
