I like that idea of yours a lot. Setting up a Npc Blacksmith in Serpermaru or other big camp that is able to repair any legendary or unique item in exchange for treasures. The new treasure feature could also work as payment system to vendors. So in order to beeing able to use vendors you need to gather treasures first. But having those treasures then risk you getting a purge. So there is a sacrifize or risk to it.

Since legendaries deal the highest damage in the game I would make them require you beeing level 60 in order to use them.

If I brain storm this through it would be great if the weapon repair system would work like that:

  • you get a non craftable weapon/item (torches etc) and you can repair it only with a legendary/unique etc. repair kit. Every time you repair your weapon you will loose 10% of durability.

  • If your weapon gets to the point where it has low durability you then can take that weapon to a Npc Blacksmith who will grant you a full repair in exchange for treasures.

This way repairkits won´t loose their value while you aren´t beeing able to use a weapon forever without paying a price for it.

Players then have to deside for themself if their weapon is worth getting a repair or if they simply farm a new one.

This would also be solving the problem with rare legendary weapons/items, since you would be able to repair them for a price.

The new treasure system could make it possible to pay Npc´s traders. Instead of gold they can demand treasures.
