I agree with a regular wipe schedule specifically for PVP perhaps.

But I did not have the problems with performance I am having now before the update.

I was told that placeables not de-rendering may be the issue.

That WAS the issue… It was a bad idea to remove the damage from them, since their weapon system wasn’t designed to handle 0 damage weapons, it just gets filtered out and none of the special effects get applied (like the one on Coup or Szeths etc.)

So either they realized it was a very bad idea and quietly revered it, since it would require poking around in sensitive areas, OR they accidentally reverted it and thereby accidentally fixed the bug with them :stuck_out_tongue:

(To be fair removing it was bad from a gameplay perspective too, made any concussive damage bonuses or any strategy completely redundant… though they also have the silly buggy easy-mode orb which doesn’t relay to enemies who threw it so they ignore you…)

The basic hand crafted truncheon should not kill a t4 thrall when the character is at lvl 14 with absolutely no strength bonuses.

I love that those orbs. I’m amazed at how only a few people actually use them in Seper. and I haven’t seen anyone outside of myself using them in the volcano.

I wish. Concussive damage heals rather quickly so if you are using the base handcrafted version (and probably multiple since you are trying to take out a t4) its very easy to get more hp damage on the NPC than concussive since the concussive heals while you are running around smacking their head. The HP only heals when they lose the aggro. If I’m taking out T4s, I have a mod kit on the truncheon so that the concussive can get larger gains from the hp depletion.

The solution would be for truncheons to apply an effect (buff) that heals enemies hit for the damage they dealt.

It does not, but most people really don’t know how to use them. It may kill the river 1 skull exiles since they have lower HP than usual.

Here’s a quick guide on it I posted on here at the start of AoS - most of it is still relevant :man_shrugging:
(for example most have no idea that despite the animation being the same, heavy attacks actually do more concussive damage… etc.)

However I’m pretty sure when they designed this originally, they did not do so under the assumption that you will only ever go after T4 thralls… In fact, back when we played this, there wasn’t such a “T4 elitism” and we took any crafter that was better than the one we had :stuck_out_tongue: Those truncheons were designed for lower tier stuff.

On PlayStation single player we still lack on the Serpent-man boss…

I wonder if they could “fix” the damage issue by having concusive multiply by 1 point per each Authority point (like the Agi vs Str do for weapons) in the trunceon weapons item table. To offset easy knockouts at full autbority, bump all thralls concusive bar by like 25%. So thrall hunting would require a stat set up, but also allow numbers tweaking to balance over updates.

Gods are OP, Just wiped an entire base today with a yog, the base was all intact(foundations walls etc), but all their doors, beds, chests, stations were gone, they immediately quit soon after.

Yes I’ve seen this too. Gods hit through buildings and destroy everything inside. Meanwhile everything despawnes before a building piece breaks and you don’t win anything with the raid.

Me too and yet a lot of T4 die while hitting them with the truncheon because their base health is very low.

T4´s in the starter area are often barely alive after getting attacked by a single kappa. If there are 2 kappas, chances are very high they die. I am farming a lot of T4´s from the starter area right now and its a problem. Especially for new people. It makes a very bad gaming experience when people finally find their first T4´s and they die like flies while you try to somehow manage to hit them on the head without dying. Finding a T4 now in skulkers end for example is a real pain. I have farmed that spot a lot after the new update. But since Funcom decided to cut thrall camps I have not seen one T4 spawn there on my private server since the update. Not one.

It doesn´t work when Funcom is constantly cutting npc spawn and their hp but doesn´t adjust damage and concussive damage.

I am experienced enough to aknowlegde the problem and let the npc´s heal up before hitting them. But a new player would not do that. And also would not expect the npc to die while hitting him on the head with a truncheon.

Combat lag, teleporting NPCs, combat, and server instability, it is pretty bad. No its EXTREMELY bad. Looking forward to the update. Also, these issues are occurring without any active purges. Just myself and another playing on a dedicated server with problems going wild since the update.

Also, someone mentioned it WAY up but the feeding pots would be amazing if they were back. Taking food around to all thralls is pretty time-consuming.

Yeah, I think prior to AoW chapter 1, truncheon damage was fine. I still killed a T4 once, but was low level using the lowest tier truncheon with no blunted fitting and was a low level myself.

But with the (sometimes very large) drops to base health that came last chapter, having a truncheon do damage, even a good one, it’s much more likely to lose a thrall.

on depending the time it will take to be fixed my entire base will be lost. Im holding to buy BP and baazar i dont know if there will be base to play, and im not willing to build everything again. So the next days could be my last days in game. Saddly.

Downloaded the hotfix… but nothing appears to have changed really. Still lagging my ass off and decay timers are still infinite on siptah.

Yeah the notes of the changes seem a bit deaf of what is going on. I mean they fixed something they haven’t even put out to market yet (war-torn ruins) while there are lots of people that can’t even log into PVE-C servers. Andy should have reviewed and approved this before it was released so that he could go back to Den’s team and tell them ‘no freaking way will this go over well’

Although Andy did say another patch is being worked on so hopefully these larger issues (that we can all agree will take significant resources to fix) will be corrected soon. Looking at the pattern of the releases, I don’t think we should expect to see anything up till at least next Thursday.
