Right now, on Official, there is no way to create a map pin at your location. This is because the game does not recognize you are trying to place a pin and instead thinks you want to see “Player”.
Even zoomed in all the way pins are still quite a bit off so ‘just place it as close to the player icon as possible’ isn’t really an ideal solution.
