Just give us the ability to disable this system for better server performance.
If there is already an option, please tell me

Is the events part of what causing the server crashes? Because our server ran fine (as best it could after the hot fix) and then people found the events and the last 4 days we have spells of just nothing but server crashes for a few hours and then it goes back to being fine for a day.
