Alchemical base is a perfect example of thinking you have enough but never actually having enough. It’s used for so many things and depending on your purpose, gameplay style and mode, will determine your requirements and workflow.
So it is easy to think “well, I don’t do that, so why would you need to as well?” It’s an unfair and unrealistic assumption in a game that allows for the variables that it is known for. Y’know, sort of like the post I made about PVP building requirements that I tagged you in.
This also ties in to things like stack splitting and different ways of sorting. Guess what I never did? Custom. I hated it because I had too much to account for and I’m almost always in a clan as Base Mom. I need quick and easy methods of moving, organizing, sorting, dumping, transferring. Additionally, being a PVP player with sometimes 9 other team mates all with different comprehension of gameplay, meant that Custom was useless. I can’t micromanage that many people when we’re getting godded.
But I’d never think that JUST because I never used Custom that it should be removed. Just like I don’t think that it is wrong that some use Bearer’s as a follower when I use none. Or that some like to organize their chests via type of item instead of clusters. Or that they have a damn loot room instead of placing next to the bench (I do both btw - chests beside benches with all the required items in small quantities for easy crafting and a loot room with overflow). I also have afaic one of the best farmers on my team. Time is money friend. Time is wasted on getting a stack of farm rather than an inventory filled, especially when you’re against the timeclock of raid time.
Anyway, you’ve drank the koolaid of being gaslit. It’s easier to blame other players via a report system and poor ToC than to OPTIMIZE YOUR FVCKING GAME.
