These are overly annoying to place.
Id like to see an option to upgrade exisiting ones like we do with shrines. Put the mats in and it upgrades on its own as opposed to blowing it up and placing it again.
Same thing for every bench would be nice too.
I would rather they just implement a vanity like mode that lets you have a birds eye view while building

if you have access to the admin panel, just click on fly, there is your vanity view, if you don’t have access to the admin panel then I could see how it would be a pain to place.

the only thing is that you need to be able to make lower tier items to get the higher tier items, I usually have 2 benches for certain stations (blacksmith, armorer, tanner), I also have 2 furnaces: 1 for stone and brick and one for iron ore (since you need a lot of iron), I rarely upgrade my furnace because I haven’t seen a need for it. I have 2 tanneries: 1 for hide and 1 for thick hide. As long as I’m not forced to upgrade a bench and it is an option then I would totally agree with you
As an option, yes.
Animal Pens are a bit different from all the other stations: they are HUGE and very picky about their placement. If you put it and make a building around there are cases when you just can’t destroy low-tier one and put higher-tier one instead because of their collision boxes.
I play on official and we can’t fly. Often you get the “not connected to the ground” or what have you.
But you need foundation to a certain level or they decay quick even whe very close to your base.
I have had too literally build massive scaffolding tower to be high up to place it. And it still looks ugly.
I like pets though. Cuz they are adorable. So I’d really like to see an auto upgrade thingy
