melee players who use 2 handed weapons. They can kick. Archer use bows. Bows are 2 handed weapons. Archers can not kick. Why is that?
Because bows donāt have a kick in their moveset, nor is there any use for a melee shieldbreaker attack on a ranged weapon. What are you gonna do, run up on someone and kick their shield away only to proceed to shoot at them point-blank and defeat the entire purpose of a bow? As for me, I think Iāll keep my distance and just shoot over/under the shield ![]()
Just as a follow-up, many two-handed melee weapons donāt even have a traditional kick, though some may have a special attack that similarly canāt be blocked. Some are even able to block, themselves. With that in mind, I donāt find it anomalous at all that a bowman cannot kick, and think it is instead a little silly to suggest that just because it is a two-handed weapon it should have a kick ![]()
Have you seen how bows are used in PvP?
Abuse hyper armor with charged shots and 40+ accuracy at ANY range to knock down your opponent and permastun him to kill the person with 3 shots.
Shields interrupt this gameplay. So those PvP archers want to win against that as well.
Yes lol I often run bow builds and am well aware of how they are used. It seems like weāre on the same side here otherwise, so I donāt know why youāre coming for me. Thereās no reason a bow, which is intended to be a ranged weapon, should have a kick.
Bows should have a skill instead of kick its āfinal pullā, you pull the bow and bowstring around the opponent and shield to sunder him useless for 3 seconds, but you loose the bow afterwards. ![]()
perhaps a ālegolassā style arrow stab for cqc
Thatās a good idea! Iāll prolly get called a lair again, but I use bow in close-up melee sometimes and to pretty good effect. A kick or an arrow stab with affects similar to a javelin hit would really sweeten the play!
