OK personal accounts are meaningless. The question is whether or not offlining is an issue with PVP.
IMO, we have to break this down because “PVP” are just letters in CE.
The 3 play styles established are
PVE-No player-player interactions and no risk at all.
PVE-C- Player-player fighting allowed, no building risk
PVP Player-player fighting and building at risk.
So with this we are saying offlining is an issue with PVP. Let me ask this then…would killing an offline player out in the open on a PVE-C server be seen as bad and should they get protection? Or how about the poison gas arrow that kills a player in their base because they are too close to the wall? I’m betting no one is saying that is a foul but isn’t that just the PVE-C equivalent to offlining?
For what its worth, I think the PVP servers just need to be limited because what people actually want is PVE-C and it’s the letters that kill expectations because PVP in CE isn’t player vs player but base vs base. So I would actually switch the number of servers around and rebrand the game types so that it’s more clear on the intent PVE, PVE, BVB.
