I must disagree with this, slightly. They looked at Arkardark and said “give us some of that,” and so they built Conan Exiles. It turned into an open world that frankly is ideal for PvP. A sandbox within a sandbox (they could watch us ant farm away) as people first rushed toward servers and were then repulsed.
It may sound harsh, but Funcom very rightly declared PvP would play no role in the game’s development. They picked a lane, and we barbarians are happy to exist in the world that is and should be crafted for PvE.
Yep. And I am of a mind that the very entertaining PvE experience lends itself ideally to PvP life in Conan Exiles. We just need different sliders, AKA a butt-ton of work like you said.
