Completely agree that DBD should have been implemented a long time ago on Officials.

This is a multi-faceted issue though, offline raiding is a symptom of a few bigger problems.

Official player count has gone down drastically which can be attributed to many factors and not limited to: poor balancing, removal of the survival element, higher XP rates, frivolous ToC land claim violations, exploits and if you’re on PC, hacking. Not to mention it’s an older game and there’s many newer, shinier, titles out there.

So with little consistent, frequent players, lack of viable targets and boredom sets in. The want to raid is just there and it doesn’t matter what it is. Without considering the consequences such as the probability of the victim not returning.

Then you have longstanding clans that believe they own the server. They refresh, watch logins and cull any new blood. Why is that? They may not want competition, fear of being offlined themselves, get rid of solos who potentially exploit/hack, that type of stuff.

Newer players may offline because they are inexperienced, so they look for easy targets to enjoy what the game has to offer. Sometimes they don’t even know that the person isn’t online; they haven’t figured out the player list or how to check decay yet.

With the survival elements having all but been removed and in consideration of how easy it is to freely obtain raiding items, there’s little risk. You used to have to have a well oiled 10 person on a busy server to have thousands of dragon powder. You picked and chose your targets wisely. Risk vs. cost and loss.

Now, spawn into a new server, run to Al-Merayah and profit from a free legendary weapon, 4 premades and 4 rams, hit any sandstone you like and gain their loot, rinse and repeat. On Siptah it’s even easier with those raid caches.

Will it really matter now though? The game is so broken, the players are tired and fed up.

And they STILL have not dealt with hacking on PC. The wave that has been going on for 3 months unchecked is being ignored.

I don’t even know if DBD would be enough to bring me back.
