When and what was the last new thing we got in the shop? Is there plans for new stuff?
Nothing new that this one is aware of since they (mercifully) interrupted the “Age of Heroes” to have the Age of Bug fixes.
So last new items were released last year, late Summer if memory serves
What is the size of the team? Fallout 76 has new items in the shop every week for years… Seems like there could be a dedicated office at Funcom that did nothing but create shop items.
This one thinks right now, the team size is about .5 full time staff.
Dune is late you see, and while there have been noises that Conan hasn’t been robbed to build Arakis… This one doubts that was the case to begin with and finds the claim at this moment to be beyound the pale.
The art team has two people. Who knows what else they do or if they are even full time.
The pace of updates is… Slow. Very slow, modders seem to be able to fix things before the official “team” can
So this one would estimate there is less than one person working full time on this game.
Just keep hoping they keep their word about “items from the vault” ! Or not, because they prob won’t…
What’s the items in the vault?
Dunno. Ask them.
Vault items are most likely old Battlepass items such as the cursed tree
Sounds good but I probably have it. I think I got all the battle passes. I’d really like the Atlantean sword and the royal armor though.
what I find completely baffeling is, that looking at the forum interaction of all of FUNCOM’s games, Conan Exiles is their most played game even 7 years after release by a factor of more than 10. 40k to 3.5k for Secret World, or 2k for Conan Unchained.
Yet it seems that Conan Exiles is their “unwanted child”. They seem to sacrifice pretty much everything for their new child: DUNE.
If DUNE flops, we might get more Conan Exiles Content, but I have a feeling that they are so deeply invested in DUNE that if DUNE flops, FUNCOM won’t exist anymore.
New stuff is always nice, but how about some already existing things separated from their “bundle” and priced less than a DLC.
For example, the Corinthian Stargazer bundle has a horse caparison, a mace and two armor/outfit sets. How about we split that up a bit so that people who would like to buy one item or just the two armor/outfit pieces don’t have to spend valuable Crom’s for other things they might not want.
At 2890 Croms that is entirely too much for me to even consider, even at 2000 C’s just for the outfits that still quite steep considering we can get a whole DLC for less.
Also newer players should have a chance to earn or purchase some of the previous Battlepasses.
Personally I think whoever at FC decides this marketing strategy is shooting themselves in the foot and I bet they would make more money rethinking their current bazaar and perhaps go more in a similar direction as for example FO76.
Or maybe some items from previous battle passes could be built into events or quests instead. Not sure if that would mean too much development time considering some already existing events have loot that’s a bit uhm… underwhelming? Or those items could be obtainable from event merchants for -insert in-game currency-, I think there is a lot of potential.
If Dune flops, then 10cent will either force restructure Funcom or dismantle it and pass potentially profitable brands in to other development houses whom they own
Funcom is no longer a stand alone company, they are a wholely owned subsidiary. As such, they are more at the mercy of their masters than their customers.
For more than 2 months no news at the bazaar for those who have everything, the worst some players have a lot of Crom, and they cannot spend them, since they have everything…, I accuse nothing but I ask myself questions about this bazaar…
I never used to check the bazaar so it’s all new to me ![]()
I completely agree! CE is like their unwanted middle child fr. DUNE is the new baby born.
Saw a vid of dune game play and the worm was in the sky wiggling about and the player was laffing his bum off
That’s the quality we came to expect…
There are several unreleased items in the admin panel of items they created for the Age of Heroes, but never released into the Bazaar, due to the decision to delay content after AOH CH1 was a huge flop. So, the unreleased Bazaar items are already made, but they for some reason refuse to put them in the shop to be bought. It’s probably because they want to put them in the shop when they finally get around to AOH CH2. What is the difference between money made right now, and money made later? This company is wacky.
Agreed. Wacky as they come
