Any tips on countering this? Vault spam under ice shelf

I’ve got a player on my server currently that has unfortunately wiped out all other players from the server, luckily I haven’t been found but this player has spammed at least 80+ vaults under the ice shelf across from the Bridge of the Betrayer, I’m just wondering if anyone has come across this “tactic” before and if so what did you find was the most effective strategy?

  • Trying to spam bombs above the ice sheet is a bit tricky as I’ll need hundreds of them but also I can’t guarantee that my bombs are always going to be placed in the right position.

  • I thought maybe trebuchets could be effective?

  • Then there is summoning Mitra/Yog but that takes time and I’m not sure if the time invested vs the payoff will be worth it =/

I’ve already reported them twice as not only do they have the 80+ vaults but they’ve also foundation spammed/webbed a big chunk of the region around the frozen lake too, unfortunately it seems kind of building/storage strategy doesn’t breach the rules :man_shrugging:

Godding this is the most effective way to deal with it unfortunately. You’ll need MANY.

Does anyone know if lightning strike breaches the ice? Those are only ceiling tiles holding the vaults up…wait…where are the tiles? Ok the vault is being suspended by the pillars? Sounds like a big report problem and this is definitely spam building

From the raiding Ive done against vaults like that, bombs on the ice surface do not damage them. Thats just me, maybe others have had luck, but I dont think they would.

The amount of ammunition you would need, assuming the damage went through the ice, will keep you farming until 2050. I applaud the dedication!

Likely the best bet, but to be honest, if that guy has 100 vaults, 99 will be empty, and one will have fiber clothing in it. That is just spam, and a decoy, there will be no loot in it. You could report that spam if you wish, if it was me, Id play the long game and wait him out. Sooner or later he will get tired and quit.

I agree with waiting it out.

Last situation I saw like this it took 3 gods to pop 1 vault.

Yeah I’m hoping they just get bored and quit but they’ve been sitting around for several months now :face_exhaling:

or just go to a private server and move your friends there , a regulated server is better then a FFA server with little to no admin pressence that are slow as heck. Trust me private server are 100x better

Yeah I hear you. Its a problem with being able to refresh timers, keeping all that. But, like I said, those vaults will be empty, so in reality, hes just flexing. I wouldnt worry too much about them. Try to find his main base and stash and raid that!!

I’m thinking about it, the most fun I’ve had on this game was through private servers, unfortunately all the open pvp oceanic servers at the moment seem to be 10x boosted with insta:everything, I’m hoping to find something that’s only slightly boosted, I’ll just keep my eyes open O_O
