Any way to get around faster in CE i just recently got in anothera reya but its always way to far and takers ageds to get back

All of this is good but since you appear to be new, might I recommend the wiki for you. Its got LOTS of stuff to review.

i am playing single-player because i don’t like servers that offer PVP always people destroying my fun.

i do use a few simple mods, but pipi i did look at it, and sounds cool, but i personally hate using things like /home makes it too easy, hence i was asking about other ways of tp.

I don’t mind doing some grinding, i love grinding and building its what i like in most games.

and i already upgraded my spell book 2x, because i already had teh materials at home anyway.

so it seems i am going to do both the map room and the sorcery thing

so thx everybody for the tips

As you are playing single player, Another option using Pippi is to establish your own Portal network.

Similar to the /home suggestion, but instead of using text commands or admin teleport, you establish portals to walk through to a defined destination.

Example: set a destination at your base (Home). walk to Sepermaru. build a hut nearby, set another destination (Sepermaru). place a Pippi portal. configure it to go to ‘Home’. walk through to home. place another portal at your base and assign it to go to ‘Sepermaru’. You now have a quick portal to and from Sepermaru.

Rinse and repeat for other POI as desired.

so if i read it right your post right, i need to set 2 portals at my home base ?
it starts with “Example: set a destination at your base (Home).”

then later on it sais “place another portal at your base and assign it to go to ‘Sepermaru’.” so that means 2 portals at my base ?

sorry my main is not english , so i read it differently then its probably meant

i looked up pipi again and watched some tuts, but its way to complex for me to many options, let alone where to find the portal thingy

its easy for me to get overwhelmed

It’s part of a bigger problem. Anybody can access it even outside of the clan. I haven’t digressed yet, but having two portals always-on may lead to items missing with no imprint in the logs. (Stolen) :eyes:

the message i wrote was ment for IPL_Victim,seems i forgot to click teh reply button

and about people stealing i only play single player so others no change of stealing items

the portals have two components. An invisible target, and a visible ‘gate’ which is a glowing oval. Also, the portal can display a text label to help identify the destination should you choose.

your home base needs:
1 destination target, and
1 portal or gate for each map destination.

So, if in addition to the example of Sepermaru, if you set up a target near the Black Keep, your base would need a second portal for that destination.

OR, you could change the portal at your base to a different target each time you use it. I prefer to set up separate portals for each destination.

I find it useful to make a ‘gateroom’ or chamber with multiple gates leading to other locations, with the remote locations all having one gate back to the gate room.

As an alternative you could make a series of gates and portals as a loop. one target and gate per destination, but I find that harder to add to later on. How that works: Portal from home to Sepermaru, then Portal from Sepermaru to the Black Keep, Then Black Keep to Home
only ever need one destination and one portal per location, but more challenging to expand.

That sounds interesting i did something similar in another game at a time making a room with portals to other planets in a game called Empyrion galactic survival.

if i said up pipi, do you think you could help me by telling me how to set it up at that time?

right now i am still busy learning teh game, so it doesn’t have to be right now

i do use discord

thx

I’m also a Single-Player who doesn’t want to use “cheats” or admin commands. I also play with a 1x harvesting multiplier, so anything I build feels like I’ve had to work for it.

In the Exiled Lands, the network of obelisks can take you pretty far, and it barely corrupts you. The downside is that the map room is very resource-intensive to build, and demon blood is harder to gather in large quantities than on the Isle of Siptah. My go-to place is the Warmaker’s Dungeon - you don’t need to complete it, just progress far enough to find the Giant-king mini-bosses. Kill them and harvest their bodies for plentiful demon blood. The rest is easier.

You’ll probably want multiple map rooms eventually, so you can build several bases or outposts across the map.

If you go the sorcery route and unlock transportory stones, you can also chain your teleports: build a map room in one base (preferably one close to an obelisk), and then build a transportory stone near another obelisk. you can teleport with a map room to that obelisk, and then access your transportory stone network.

The hardest recourse for transportory stones in the Exiled Lands is probably silver; you can get that in large quantities only from the silver mine.

ahh sounds interesting, i do get some demon blood now and then when i harvest teh corrupted monsters i encounter now and then.

i was thinking of making a tp of some kind from my starter base to teh nearest obelisk and then using the network from there.

@RaShCl you can also make Battle standard and use to move to bedroll or bed can be overencumbered can not bring thralls or pets on official pve we use in conjunction with map rooms works well not a cheat. Requires silk and shaped wood.

so what your saying is i can drop multiple bedrolls or beds and then use a battle standard to move around ?

Hey @RaShCl welcome to the forums.

You are getting a lot of information all at once, there are some pretty great ideas above, it is often good to start with the simplest. Touch the various obelisks you find in the world, in the Exiled Lands, and learn the Map-Room skill from ‘the Alchemist’ (shade of the dead Giant King ‘the alchemist’) who dwells at the bottom of the staircase (the Archives) at the heart of the Unnamed City.

Obelisks are easily spotted from a distance and yes the purple fog does corrupt, but the corruption is minimal unless you have a lag and your character gets stuck for any significant amount of time. Touch the Obelisk and you are attuned, and by using any map-room in the world you can travel back to that obelisk. Find the Obelisks and make one map room close to your base, to start. That way you can start any adventure from one of the ten obelisks that dissect the Exiles Map. One Map-Room and 10 obelisks will multiply your gaming experience tenfold. Obelisk - Official Conan Exiles Wiki

As was also mentioned get a horse, once you get accustomed to riding if you start each adventure by teleporting to a distant part of a map, and get a good chain bindings to better bring your new found friends back to your house. Chain bindings last longest. you can gallop back to your base in no time, thrall in tow and horse loaded up with brimstone, ironstone, what have you. Once you have nailed the basics you can start expanding your gaming experience but take it easy on yourself and learn the basics of the game, the obelisk map-room system before you start complicating things.

Once you have established your gameplay method, and you start learning the various biomes, you can start placing additional map-rooms throughout the Exiles Map. just make sure to place the map-room on top of foundations to allow for the longest decay timer possible. a 10 by 10 foundation base is easy to construct and cheap, you can place the map on smaller foundation footprint but 10 by 10 is easy until you start building more complicated builds. And gives you the full 7 day timer. Also get in the habit of using the pick axe or pick on any demons or skulled bosses you kill, and you will be swimming in demon blood before you know it. I often have more demon blood than I can store and quickly stop collecting it.

Any Map-room can be used by you, so very quickly you will see the first thing you do on a new server or new game is travel to and learn the obelisks, and then the first map-room you come across gives you a short-cut taxi ride across the map.

Enjoy. All the Best.

Yes, its a lot of info to get into, so many ways, and also a new way was introduced here on the forum, something about a banner and placing bedrolls or beds, still, need to figure that one out too.

didn’t know teh map rooms decay so do i need to rebuild them every X amount of time ?

so right now i have no clue what to do first, busy learning teh basics first , but i am already busy getting a few dancers and other thralls for the base i am started in, i guess i need to place a dancer or entertainer at every obelisk and map room to get rid of teh corruption.

also, the pet thing is a bit weird, didn’t know teh basic starter stats of a greater shaleback pet were random, like mine, which has 89 % to get a point in grit and 89% to get a point in vitality, and a total of 64 in strength including teh fav food buff of 14% , so i have one that has a big health pool and lots of armor .but can’t do lots of damage because it constantly gets points in vit and grit lol

Also for some reason the stats on Conan wiki are often not correct my scaleback said it should start with grid 3 but it was grit 4 some other stats were al;so different
did i see that correctly ??

anyway thx for all teh help here on teh forum, i know i can be a bit boring, asking lost of questions, but CE has a lot of them

Also i cant seem to find horse pets, i use the interactive map but they are not in teh list of pets you can find on teh map

this is my starting base Screenshot - cb642a0c437f011f32659170c0b385d3 - Gyazo
haven’t seen horses yet

Nah. If you’re Single-Player, you don’t need to worry about decay. Just check your “Server settings” to make sure Decay is off.
