Anyone else got this from Funcom?

Got this message from Funcom this morning regarding something new in the works.

@lanier67

@Jimbo Do you know anything about this?

I got one…..but I’m console

I got one, I’m on PC.

Yes, I got one

I got one. Binned it because it’s Steam (PC) and I’m on Series X.

This one received that missive.

It even asked what platform does this one play on.

But it seems the only correct answer is steam because without steam ID one cannot proceed

it’s good news. but what bewilders me is that it’s been over a year now and they haven’t said absolutely nothing about what the plans are or what the update is before asking players to play test.

like lab rats. :rat:

If he does, he can’t say anything about it.

I did not get one yet. :frowning:

I did.

Well he doesn’t have to go into details. A simple yes or no would suffice.

but the rules of the fight club are that Jimbo may or may not be able to confirm or deny whether he knows anything about it lol..

Great news !!! I think you are going to test an update. Congratulations.

What i dont understand is the secrecy? All the other beta test for the Ages were for everyone and now the only select a few choosen one and wave with an NDA?
It feels very odd, especially after this long period of silence towards the community.

We will see i guess.
. I just hope this turns out to be a step in the right direction at the end.

My dear @Oduda maybe it’s in your unwanted mail, or bin however they call it on English. I am pretty sure you received it also.

I also found another information mail received a couple weeks ago.

That means that our words in here don’t get empty bottoms.

Thank you Funcom.

Good luck with NDA, I would like to see how they prosecute those who share a leak to get these high fines. Besides, such leaks would only help promote… whatever it is.

Not entirely true. The Age of Sorcery - Chapter 1 had a closed beta for a good length of time before it was announced. Before that, the Isle of Siptah had a closed beta. I think there were some more closed betas before that too, but I was never part of any of them, so I’m not sure how many there were.

I’ll note that the Isle of Siptah was the update when Conan Exile’s version number went from 1.x to 2.0, and the Age of Sorcery was when it went from 2.x to 3.0. Whatever is coming, it is reasonable to assume it is Conan Exiles 4.0 or something else of a similar scale.

It would also make sense why Funcom went so silent for a year. The same thing happened leading up to the Isle of Siptah and the Age of Sorcery.

I did not know that the Age of Sorcery had a closed beta - thanks for clarifying that.
fingers-crossed that something great is coming.
