Or maybe stone-carving? That could be the Hyborian Age version of Mount Rushmore.
Someone who didn’t like all the bugs went and carved a sadface up there.

Who’s Atali? The last days when the npcs die, especially in Siptah the expression “Atali comes” is extremely often now.
Atali is the Frost-Giant’s (ie. Ymir’s) daughter, from the short story The Frost-Giant’s Daughter. Basically, a spirit who lures wounded or dying warriors to their doom.

It makes sense. So you say it has nothing to do with an “Easter egg” but a fixing of devs on dieing npcs.
Yes but still! Why you listen it more often in Siptah map than exile lands? Especially the pirates who seem to be Derketo and Zath followers, you listen them to speak about the daughter of Ymir. Does they believe in multiple gods like ancient Greeks did?

Religion is connected with the nationality, ethnic group, but all the rabble and adventurers from different ethnic groups go into pirates. And their religion may be different, however, it is not particularly pronounced among them.
But a simpler explanation is that the ownership of speech cues is broken. I heard invocations to Seth from the Cimmerians, for example.

Best line I heard from people in the North is just raw and perfect trash-talking:
“Your death will be as meaningless as your life.” in a cold but strong tone
