Armours hot / cold protection bars in inventory & feats page vs stats page

Hi Everyone,

Please can someone explain the difference between the number of bars of protection shown on the inventory page for individual armour pieces vs total protection shown on the stats page. Even if you total the bars for individual pieces you are wearing they don’t always equal the bars shown on the stats page. The heat / cold protection on the stats page seems to change for me depending on where I am.

EDIT 2: Removed other questions regarding armourer bench, armourer bench shows the correct number of bars prior to crafting.

The reason I was seeing a change depending on where I was, was due to my not realising my base’s temperature boost was being added to the display on the stats page when I was indoors.
