Artwork Fanart Inspiration | Conan Exiles

In all, it is certainly for profit and no, AI doesn’t get “inspired” as it isn’t a human with such emotions and constructs.

Nonetheless, AI will never be able to give the person instructing it the feeling and organic benefits of performing art in any way.

All my art is now physical. No more using digital spaces. No more sharing online. No more engaging with the wider art community. I will be selfish and destructive. And even if I ever consider art in an online context I will use poisoning techniques to muddy the AI tract as best I can.

As for artists using AI as a tool? Hard pass. I enjoy drawing, it keeps me amused all day, it gets my imagination going, sure, I need to take a few more breaks nowadays, but I dgaf when I’m in that zone and suddenly my entire day is gone.

I’ll give you an example.

WPS is a program that is used to write documents, make spreadsheets and all sorts of thing. It was very popular amongst aspiring authors and the like. That was until a recent update which snuck in this little tidbit into their newest TOC which, frankly as well all know most people do not actually read and just click away. Expect some people DID read it and shared it’s contents, the most important parts of it.

“we will use the documents you voluntarily upload as the base material for AI training after desensitization”

That’s right, anyone who saved their work and uploaded it to the “cloud” would have it stolen by WPS for their AI. Because AI is NOT capable of creating on its own, it can only use assets it has stolen from already existing created materials. At least in its current state.

Now when you look at AI images of CG rendered people, have you ever thought to yourself, “why do all of the women look EXACTLY like Pixar women?” Seriously, it does not matter what the setting is, what AI they were using, every single time they look EXACTLY like Pixar women. Now why do you think that is?

Just because something is “fast” and “easy” does not mean that said thing is good. Or even valuable. Conversely it is often, if not almost always, the case the fast and easy is usually vastly less valuable in the end. It is only the propaganda surrounding the “convenience” that makes people “believe” that it has value, but in reality it does not.

Or the Studio Ghiblifying that is both a trend but that the AI will unintentionally spit out as well.

The ones who are pushing relevancy are the techbros sniffing for “free” stock so they don’t have to pay for the privilege of being at the very least fair, then selling subs to create 6 fingered waifus.

It is often remarked upon that the dream in the past was that AI was supposed to enrich our lives, support us, so we can freely create and exist comfortably. Right now it’s taking jobs in most sectors, with the heaviest hit being musicians, visual artists and film makers. Because the most rich are fvcking greedy scum. Disgraceful.

Do the extra fingers make them extra hot?

The one area that AI is being used for its intended purpose and is quite fascinating is in the communication with cetaceans. Here is an article from MIT about AI being used to communicate with whales. It is really very interesting, but then again I did go to school for marine biology.

Neither of those in my case. I have only my drawings along with my father’s hanging on my walls.

THIS is where it’s a good tool! It’s helping in advancing our knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the world.

Similarly, helping to predict natural disasters and screening for diseases.
