So, in CEE Quickfooted and Defensive Posture have swapped attribute lines. Quickfooted is in Grit which, honestly, makes sense. But Defensive Posture does NOT make sense in Agility. Why would a perk regarding attacking or blocking be limited only to agility?
Honestly, I think it might be better to put this back in Grit. Get rid of Stout: it’s a garbage trait that gives you extra armor based on current stamina, so as you use stamina, you lose armor. I don’t know anyone that has ever taken that or recommended that to be taken. Instead, you could pick between either getting stamina back faster with Endurance, or taking less damage with Defensive Posture. Then come up with a new perk for Agility that is actually fitting for that attribute line.
I’d be happy to hear some other perspectives as I can say I do not PvP so maybe I’m missing some vital/game-mode niche aspect to Stout that I’ve not considered.
that really is a interesting choice they decided to go with… did the 2 attributes swap places in attributes or are they in different areas in the attribute tree?
thinking about the build i usually run with (15 agi, 20vit, 5grit, 20expt)
that would be interesting running with 15 grit and 5 agi. that would be wonderful for that build … extra stamina regen from endurance and quickfooted, plus the armor thats added from the 15 grit… or better yet 20vit, 20grit, and 20expt. adding steel thewd in the mix would be really nice!
definitly curious how tanky that build would be in that case under these attributes if that is the way they are setup now. definitely a new breath of fresh air. liking it thus far.
I think they just swapped lines. Both are at the perk-15 slot. I certainly don’t mind Quick Footed in Grit. But I’ve always used Defensive Posture for my more tanky builds. I can’t see agility builds blocking often (not sure I have ever even tried to block with daggers to know if you can. When I play agility, it’s usually dodge rolling to avoid hits) so half of Defensive Posture will be less useful to that set-up.
I don’t think the idea is bad, per se. But I do think that they missed the mark somewhat and just need to tweak it a bit.
you cant block with daggers, but there are one handed weapons that are agility based. those you can use a shield with and would work with that buff. (shortswords, some legendaries)
Stout being in Strength instead of Grit still doesn’t resolve the problem of Defensive Posture (which 100% sounds more like a strength or grit boon) being in Agility where it doesn’t really belong. Which is technically what this thread is about.
Stout is a different problem entirely, which is why I suggested it as a good option to be replaced. Moving Stout around just means everyone will pick whatever the other option is, whatever tree it is in.
Yeah, I’m on a strength build this time as well. It’s been a while since I did strength - I’m enjoying it, but definitely noticing that I don’t dodge as well as I’m used to.
I agree. But there are alot like that. And i think maybe moving it to strength and maybe changing what it uses to factor (number adjustment). Or look at maybe one of the older ones they got rid of.
edit…maybe have it add 25-50% to special attack. That would make 2 hand sword possibly an option with its special attack alone. Calk it " Haymaker".
Not sure of they track it, but if they tracj the data of perks used, then they should paretto chart it. Rverse of course by taking the 4 or 5 most unused and either tweak or replace. goal should be a delta that has most % vs last % within a certain perventage of use range.
