It would seem the RADIUS server at Funcom has crashed. That would explain why authentication fails. Either they’re all busy fixing it or they’re just enjoying their weekend break and are completely unaware. Either way, it’s not your client and it’s not your game servers.
This is true guys! “All the Authentication Failed messages are directly related to Funcom’s Live Services which authenticates your login and verifies you are who you say you are. Basically, it’s a stepping stone between your PC and the servers. The only known workaround or solution is brute force entry. Sometimes it takes 50+ attempts before you finally connect and sometimes it takes less than 5 attempts, but you can still login if you have the patience to do this.”
I had to spam back and forth to get in the official server and other server to be authenticated by Fancom or Gportal. It took me 20x or sometimes less to get in the server. It seems like Fancom is trying to find a way to detect hackers? Not sure. But, it’s not the players’ end. The players just need to try and try to log back in until you are authenticated thru that server.

I’ll put it here again for exposure:
This post is regarding the “Authentication Failed” error when connecting to a Conan Exiles server. We are charged an excessive price of $30 per month to rent a private server to able to play your game the way we want to play it. The “GPORTAL” terms of service state:
“(5) The provider undergoes regular maintenance for the safety of its services and data protection. For this purpose, the provider may temporarily disable or limit the service, as long as important reasons justify this. The provider will carry out technical maintenance in off-peak hours whenever possible, unless the performance of technical maintenance is required at other times for safety reasons.”
I have scoured the internet for any sort of “important reason” or justification for this server downtime, but have found nothing from any staff member from FUNCOM, GPORTAL, etc.
Where might I find an explanation as to why I am paying money for a service that does not currently exist to me? If this is not made clear, then how will you provide compensation to those of us that have purchased private server rentals?

Attitudes like this perpetuate these issues. If we don’t demand that things change, then why would they?
Is this authentication error related to Funcom Live services? If so, would disabling FLS resolve the issue until Funcom fixes their Funcom Live Services?
Every action gets its reaction and as their reaction of this issue is non-existing, there is no surprise that players are frustrated and furious. Like if they would pop out a single simple message, but no statement? No respond? No reaction, no answers, just lets be silent and act like everythings fine?

G-portal is not in the wrong, they will surely not do anything as their servers are “up” and running. It’s a problem with funcoms auth system, which have nothing to do with your subscription with g-portal.
Yeah this has nothing to do with g-portal or private servers. Here’s what my buddies and I are seeing on official servers:
FunCom is chunky enough to have on-call technicians for emergency outages. They’re likely already working on it. Community managers often are not on-call, however, so we’re not likely to see anything from them until normal business hours.
I cannot log on any server I currently play.
I am starting to regret the Premium Battlepass I bought a few days ago…
I have managed to get on one of the two servers I play on BUT it takes many many tries to get thru then have been trying to get on other to no avail. Afaik this has been going on for over 14hrs and since its weekend might not get fixed til monday from past history. UNLESS it effects one of the Devs trying to get into one of thier own games.
It has been going on sense yesterday over 24 hours now. Funcom ignored the issue until just 58 min ago.
just an hour ago funcom tweeted they are looking into it lol. So I think it did effect one of the devs.

No. These same people who ban people for saying mean things on a game that involves slavery, cannibalism, dismemberment and so on, shows they don’t care about actual gamers, just money and feel good points.
its the entire game at the moment and of course we have zero response from the funcom staff at all. Shocker…
