And in my view this was a loss for everyone : you , the community you were part of , the game in general ( I don’t think you’ve been chosen by asura for no reason

well when the rules are clear it’s easier to comply indeed !
I remember when they announced the thrall limits, months before it’s implementation.
As soon as the option to break bond was introduced in pair with the new leveling system.
I had no issue to delete all our pets / thralls ( even legacy ones like captains and bandit leaders/prowlers/thugs ) to reach the announced limit of that time which was lower than what was finally implemented almost a year later , and it also played a role in my report of the great wall of saltiness as some of those pets were trapped at that time ( and therefore were taking better thralls slots ) , and it all had a role in the advocacy for the change in ToC .
But I guess : "beware of what you wish for you might get more that what you want " fits perfectly here
