Yes, I like killing stuff, brutally.
I like exploring the world, get secret, exotic (don’t have to be powerful or even viable, just for the sake of uniqueness).
However I don’t really play online, I don’t like ā€œmetasā€, competing with other players, rushing to the final level.

Yeah agree there. I didn’t like the meta part in the typical traits of killer. I see you as just a competitor but meta is win at all cost type and many competitors that I hang with are more competitive with their own skills than other players.

For me this is peak not bottom my friend, that’s our difference :wink:. I like to gain knowledge and share it, this is the way I find fun in online games and this is the reason I exist in forums. I am against of anything that could end up ruin my moment or my whole day! I avoided pvp the most even if I was participating in pvp servers and I stopped pvp because I couldn’t avoid a fight anymore! For some, killing a guy that knows s… t about fighting with minimum knowledge of the game is fun, for me it’s bottom, I despise it, so I don’t pvp anymore! The only reason I would ever pvp again will be only on Siptah, because want it or not, the best pve knowledge comes from pvp mode, this mode is pushing you visit every corner, build everywhere, but so far I didn’t find interest, not because of others but because of me! Maybe one day, not yet!

Higher. You always are bringing up conversation and it’s not just about game stuff. I mean anyone participating in this exercise should have some socializing aspect since it’s pointless trivia about ourselves (or is it?:smiling_imp:) But you have socialized plenty of times in the past so I was expecting it to be more right between killer and achiever, not tied with achiever.

While these can be fun, this one would tinker with a few questions to make them more appropriate for the specific game we are dealing with. For example, using the terrain to advantage in this game is as much about succeeding in violence as it is lore. But overall this tracks well enough. This one plays first to explore the content, then to play with Legos, and when that has run it’s course, make the servers a better place and vent the spleen through judicious griefing.

To put things in their proper context and perspective, Richard Bartle published his paper in 1996, when some of the most popular MMOs were MUDs.

The test @erjoh linked to was designed over the course of a few weeks in December 1999 and January 2000, not by Bartle himself, but by Brandon Downey and Erwin Andreasen, who also thought of it as a MUD personality test.

So yeah, don’t take it super-seriously. At this point, it’s basically a step above MBTI. :wink:

All of these tests are of that nature. Amusing, but only problematic when HR wants to use them…
This one did not mean to be ragging on this one in particular.
That having been said… Does anyone enjoy making these sort of sorting hat tests and want to make one specifically for this game?
There are so many interesting little quirks the player base and system have that are so specific.
Example:
The Cursed Bracelet is:
A. A useful translation tool for lore
B. The man and the new man keeping me down
C. A tool for suicide assisted teleportation
D. Interfering with my ability to dress up my character.

Socializing is everything to me. I think that Exploring is pretty much a given for most of us. When my server had a large group of friends, I used to log in just to listen and participate in the conversations. I miss those days the most.
