If the battlepass had always been like that, it would not be “bad”, no. Before, the battlepass was repetitive and tedious, yes, but you could do it in your own time, in your own way. Gods know I just spawned mobs I needed to kill and teleport all over the place, and in a few days it was over. Let me reiterate: it was tedious, but you could do it in your own time, in your own way, with no real limitations. You bought it, you completed it the way you saw fit, and that’s what is most important to me.

When they announced the new BP, they said “it will be weeklies now”. Alright, we know regular challenges are capped then, to at most 7500xp a week. Then they said “you can still gain experience playing the game”. Cool. But they did -NOT- say “you can still gain experience playing the game -up to a point-”. They -never- mentioned this, they never even -inferred- it.

They just decided to sneakily cap everything we do so we would buy their BP levels. That is bad. That is sneaky. That is shady. We no longer have full decision-making over a battlepass we paid for, and -that- is what I am mostly against. The fact that they implemented in the first place, yes, but mostly the fact that they did not even publicly stated it. There is -no- mention of the passive cap in the dev stream nor in the patch notes. Nowhere.

It matters little that 6 days of hitting the cap still lets you complete the battlepass, it matters that the cap is -there-.
