First off, I like Conan Exiles and the Events. But to me it makes zero sense why I can’t just simply enable an event in Singleplayer (maybe using a parameter in the Launch Options like ARK) and also, why I should have to wait for the Bazaar to cycle through to the items I want to buy.
I am only playing Singleplayer. Usually I play for maybe 2-3 weeks, then I am done and play something else. At some point YouTube may suggest a video about a current event in Conan Exiles and I get the itch to play again.
Like yesterday. I saw a video about the Head Hunting event and thought I would like to start a new Singeplayer save. This time I would get all my thralls only from Head Hunting and build a Yamatai base. I always put some sort of limitations on my singleplayer worlds to keep them more interesting to me and I was really excited for the idea.
Today I quit. Why? Because the Head Hunting event ended and I have no option to re-enable it. And because I can’t buy the two Yamatai extensions I want to build with. The one with the better roofs and the tavern one.
Both of these facts make zero sense. Please change them.
There is absolutely no way I would ever schedule my life around a game. So checking every (or any) rotation in the bazaar if the set I want is offered, will never happen (if I am not currently playing the game by chance). The only reason I start playing again, is if something that i see by chance, interests me. Like the Head Hunting video yesterday.
The only thing these useless limitations achieved, was to shorten my playtime from 2-3 weeks to 5 hours. And to kill my fun and excitement for upcoming changes.
I am fully aware, that I am probably not the target audience with my maybe 100 hours a year playtime in Singleplayer … but still, it just does not compute. It simply makes no sense.
