Or actually require money. I am not surprised, since making games has become more and more expensive in recent years.

:100:

I figured if it didn’t change is 6 months it wasn’t gong to. If they started dropping prices now some might take offense.

And I think we some serious thread cross over going on.

Dude Soulmask cost the same when it released and it was a full unreal engine 4 game like Conan, its insane.

I’d say the costs are a key part of why I don’t buy, and if they were lower I would probably buy more. But that comes down to ‘what I am willing to pay’ (for a given virtual item). If the bazaar stays or goes makes no meaningful difference to my overall experience of the game. Even the rotating stock thing doesn’t bother me particularly - though it does reduce the things I might buy (since I miss things I might have wanted to buy, or just don’t feel like spending on something right now on the off-chance that I might want it later) - overall, I’d say the rotation is a negative, but just not one I particularly care about - you can’t get FOMOd if you don’t care… I maintain my belief that DLCs (with appropriately increased prices) would have brought in the same revenue with less bad feeling, but in the end the bazaar is low on my list of things that are making me uninterested in playing the game or giving Funcom money.

Whereas I bought it at launch, and now won’t touch CDPR with a bargepole… (Not only did they put out a frankly fraudulent E3 ‘gameplay’ demo before launch, but they also managed to incorporate a day 1 ‘bug’ that kept a small part of the program running in the background - requiring going into task manager to shut down the individual process - neatly ensuring that many players had trouble getting refunds through Steam, because Steam’s data showed that the game had been run for over two hours…). And given that this does indeed appear to be industry-wide practice, I’m increasingly unwilling to spend any money on any game - at least until it has been out for several years and has a proven track record.

That is a proverbial can of worms this one would not open.
History is littered with demonstrations of how humans consistently fail to treat others of their own kind with anything resembling dignity or decency while still acknowledging the humanity of their victims.

Is someone treating you like a person?
Are they hurting you in a way that only a human can experience? Then yes, absolutely.

And all the worse for it.

No worries, we might have some disagreements, but you’re a nice guy.

I’d like to see a wish list and a sale notice for items on my with list.
Yes, like steam games,
Walmart,
Ali express,
Liveaquaria.

Not only would it be good for us, but it would give funcom a damn good idea of what we want, and what we might pay for it; if setting a price point was an option.

Ya well, I just got a notice the golden angels I want are on sale at my price, but my 30tall hasn’t cycled, then :bulb:

kinda like the expression,

now, in my personal opinion. pointing a company is not “someone”

Totally agree about the Bazaar. There’s much I haven’t purchased. I usually base my “how much will I spend” price on how much use I will get out of an item or set.

  • Building sets - with the coin cost and how often I can use them, mixing and matching, etc = more likely to buy. There are some I haven’t because they’re just not my particular build style but I’m way more likely.
  • Armor - Almost never going to happen. Most of what is offered isn’t that much more exciting to me than what I already have, I don’t care about the stats, and it’s far too expensive, imo.
  • Deco sets / deco - depends. Some are decent, some are not. How flexible are the items? Are they super themed where I’m only going to use them sometimes (or on characters I tend to play more) or more generic, like the plants? That said, the prices have been increasing on these. Pretty sure a single arcane banner up a week or two ago was 760cc and it literally did nothing. Used to be 250 for small, non-useable deco, 500 for larger deco, 760 if it had a function as well, like the gibbet or storage.
  • Emotes/wall paints/emblems - unless they’re free, I don’t particularly care. And the last free thing they gave away still isn’t unlocked for people who claimed it so…

Sometimes, I skip something and decide later I’d really like it. And then I wait, and wait, and wait. Still waiting for something that I’d like for my current build on a long term server but the rotation leaves a whole lot to be desired, especially with them releasing so many new things. There is more than enough content at this point that we need to be able to see the entire catalogue.

And, on top of all of that, this is rented access. If they shut down the game and leave it to private servers/single player only, we may not even be able to access any of that content anymore. Which is an additional consideration when I decide how I want to spend my money.

I don’t trust Funcom. I bought Aquilonian bathhouse bundle bec of bathtube, but it’s just decoration. I found out that it should be functional when Yamatai Oncen bundle was out. And still aquilonian bathtube not working. Also, I remember how they scammed players with Arcane bookcase. I’m not ready to spend my money with such treatment

The Aquilonian bathhouse set also didn’t come with all it’s advertised pieces for months after it was initially released.

In what this one can only describe as a crappy move, the latrine was absent not just the first time it was offered, but also still not available during the second time they put it up as a featured set.

Aesir Chieftain set was supposed to have a clan emblem on the cape. That never happened.:rage:

Since this was also directed at me with the wrong tag: having the lead dev respond to forum posts is a luxury you rarely get to see in other games, so to say it’s part of their job would be false.

That’s great you’re not participating in singling them out and bullying. I wasn’t saying you were, just that it happens.

Any “you’s” are meant to be “royal you’s” if that makes sense. Only if the shoe fits.

Thank you for the share Hansel!

Right?! First 10 bucks for a dlc with weapons armor, building pieces, decorations and pet skins.

10 bucks now will get you 2 decorations you will likely use once.

You are correct logged in last night don’t see anything I want to waste my money on. I have all the DLCS and so did my wife wish I could combine our accounts all her purchases are in limbo until I login with her character and she spent more than me. This month both our Playstation accounts were renewed I need to turn off auto purchase on her. @TriplefighterHD
