I’m really super psyched to see another post on this discussion board about the bazaar. Really enriched things, such opportunity to rehash everything being said in three other top ten topics.

You would think that you folks would get a hint. The market will speak, your opinion means nothing.

The market speaks with money. We speak with words. There’s a place for both kinds of speech. Guess what the forums are?

Thank you for contributing your valuable opinion and enriching this discussion.

True!

By all means, i am with the players side and the costumers side! I do understand how a company works and the importance of the funds right now in this company! I do own them appreciation for all these wonderful years and whenever i can i submit my poorly obolus to them. Since the bp started i have a program to give at least 10 euro per month and sometimes i find childish excuses to fool my self and others to spend more (lol). But we all agree in 2 things i believe.
1st the stormglass set is more logical from the sandstone set.
2nd the prizes are still a bit high, they need a bit more down, or more items to sell.

Ofcurce it will not be fair for the costumers who already bought for example the expensive black magic set or banners, to go down so soon, but the new items from now on can be a bit lower I guess, they are expensive!

What I meant was, their highest priority, the Bazaar IS still buggy/janky, like missing items, poor design of rotations and qualities, crom coins top-up issue, undye-able pieces, glitchy Pictish armor pieces, misleading description, no item category description (type of horse saddle, type of weapon), etc. etc.

nothing to do with my preference and I don’t mind if they put Bazaar as their highest priority, but at least make it good.

mic drop nailed it

I make picture:

Essentially, using the Bazaar should be that simple. It’s like any other luxury item shop in real life. I don’t need to act as business consultant to the company, I’m a consumer. If I had any illusions that my feedback had an effect on prices, I’d volunteer that feedback, but most companies have pretty fixed prices outside of some sales campaigns. Haggling may be possible at some local markets and bazaars, but despite its name, the in-game Bazaar is not actually one.

And as you can see on the flowchart, there are several possible paths that lead to the “Don’t buy it” result before reaching the “Buy it” result. The majority of Bazaar items fall in one of the first two categories before I need to concern myself with the price.

War paints and banners I don’t use. Furniture I might, if it’s good-looking and has utility. Clothes I might, if it looks good (stats don’t matter because I can always use them as illusions). Building pieces I’m most likely to use. Emotes yes, but only if they’re useable by my thralls. Weapons unlikely, unless the aesthetics fit a particular vision of a character’s visual style (again, stats don’t matter).

Most importantly, I accept that I don’t need to own every item from the Bazaar; some of that stuff is not made for me, but for someone else.

Watch out for psychological tricks in the in-game store.
