Bleed to death causes ko'd thralls to fall through mesh

When an unconscious NPC reaches 0 hp (dies) due to effects (bleed/poison) their corpse passes through the ground mesh and becomes unlootable.


Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. stack a DOT effect like bleed and/or poison on a thrall before knocking them out
  2. wait until their hp reaches zero
  3. watch as the draggable body becomes a lootable corpse and immediately falls through the ground mesh
  4. weep for your lost loot

This appears to be an old issue, as it was previously documented here: Character dies unconscious for bleeding and the body is gone

It continues to occur in 2.3.x, however; at least in single player mode.
