Boss Question Help

Greetings All,
What does Gold around a health bar on an enemy mean?
The ones with skulls the more skulls it has means group play?
Thank You

Gold around the health bar means it’s a T4 thrall, usually has a name to it too.
Skulls just mean they’re more difficult than others ^^ 3 skulls usually mean a dungeon or world boss.
1 skull, if I’m not mistaken, usually means miniboss or something

Sometimes a creature with a single skull spawns in a place where a normal creature spawns usually. In this case the one-skull is considered an ‘elite’ creature. And some of these elites can be very mean, e.g. the Corrupted Wolf.

Thanks All, :slightly_smiling_face:

That big turtle looking elite at the beginners beach area handed me my posterior tonight. I ended up running away with just a little bit of red on my health bar!

I’ve found a couple of wild “gold” Rocknoses not far from the Summoning Place after the Pony update. Had never seen elite Rocknoses before.

Just run into the river and make faces at any NPC onshore :joy:

Yeah gold border means it’s a tier 4/named thrall so you will only really see it around human NPC’s, the skulls indicate if it’s a boss of some sort or elite and so you see skulls on all types of creatures.

Gold bar can be present without a skull and visa versa Just depends on the thrall.

I believe I have seen the gold border also with Berzerkers, which are not named (but still very good)…

That is their name. They are many. Its like Cannibal Brute. As long as there isnt a I, II, or III (Sep taskmasters excluded), they’re named.
