I am not using ANY mods at all. And, when me and my 2 other players fight certain bosses they just stop fighting. We have had this issue with the scorpion boss, and the sewer worm boss thing.
I also had a similar issue with some hyena’s. They just look at you. They will still move and change targets, but only ever just look at you.
here to confirm, its not super frequent but it happens or theyll just spam the same attack, but so far ive only seen it happen with king scorpion and king rhino
In Siptah,3 skull bosses around siptah do the same…they stop fighting.
Some other enemies does equal.
Maybe is something about the spawn point radius, maybe this “actitude” is to evite enemies going further their spawn point. You need to stay close where the enemie was initialy…if you go back and further the radius, enemies will come back and erase damage taken.
In previus updates this spawn point was bigger…you were able to make some big bosses to fight each others…and make some enemies go against you a lot of meters away and making them fight with many thralls…was something really funny…Big reptilian mounstuosity against big black spider…or cimmeiran camp against your warrios a lot of meters away!!!
I did it once,it´s a lot funny…i did it in a multiplayer server…
Or to use big bosses against others players thralls,i did it too, with the big cocodrile against a lot of other player thralls!!!
In Exiled lands you could done that…but many time ago…now you can´t.
Maybe this changes are to make multiplayers servers less buggy, almost all changes are about that, the fact is that game code for multiplayer server if is changed, changes, also, single player server…single player is a coop server, even if you play alone.
Maybe is to evite players having a lot of legendary weapons without a fight, just watching big bosses killing each others…or a player making the big cocodrile go away and fights against Desert Dogs camp…but i don´t think so.
So,probably is to make the game use less pc processor or video card GPU…less buggy too, less crash to desktop, too.
Well their ‘fix’ caused a bigger bug. At least before it was more of an exploit not a BUG… Anything from the actual creators? Can I expect that the developer will reply here or take any action?
Sure, someone from funcom have notice some questions, petitions and complaints from here…is a funcom forum and we spend our money in their games…it looks as you can only send “real” bugs to developers with that thing overthere,i don´t know the name…crash ticket or something like that…
My personal bet is…NO…the changes are made to make the game better at multiplayer the most,or,to make the game better for building in single player…i hope they reminds adventurers players or hardcore players…in PVP and single player…
I’d bet we spent more on our private server than most other three players on pvp servers…
I’ll look for that crash ticket though. Hell I’d even pay to have my server ‘supported’ where I could file bug reports with the funcom team; like some subscription that gives premium support.
From my observations - it would seem that it has to do with the logic of the boss mobs (and other mobs) when they are trying to perform their facing so as to make sure they are facing the enemy that they want to attack. The best example of this is the giant croc boss. Because of his collision box, he will spin around and juggle a flanking player that is trying to either remain in flank, or is trying to avoid the bitey end.
While they are attempting to align their facing - they don’t attack. Because they have to align their facing first.
This bug seems to be best demonstrated (or reproduced) best when you are fighting one of the 3 skull bosses, and the player character gets forced inside of the collision box of the mob. Then, if you are able to exit the collision box of the mob (usually by jumping out of it, or backing away), the boss will then attempt to realign for attack. And then it will sit there, not attacking.
If you keep close to the boss during this realignment bug, it will continue to not attack. At the proper distance, this bug can be leveraged to player advantage.
However - often times if the player dramatically changes their position from the boss - the “realignment” glitch or loop will get reset.
Pretty sure that this is a different bug. But, still… a valid bug observation. I believe this one has to do with any mob that would potentially drop it’s weapon as a loot item. For whatever reason - the mob is failing to properly equip and use said weapon. This is most commonly observed in skeletons, Giant Kings, the werewolf boss you mentioned, and The Grey Ones.

Isle of Siptah
Public Beta Test, installed 26 or 28-8-2024.I´m not sure.
Rivers Watch Keep
Coming from the south-east.Checked,in the middle of the fight, if you run a little further from the ramp, going back south, they go back. On both sides of the river.
The blacksmith T4 if you get close to the ramp returns near the fire he is in.Just some meters and go back.
If some one spot you, they start moving but some meters only, then go back, you can stay at the middle of the camp and no one attack you, near the fire, north side of the river, cage keeper and sorccerers ignore you after shout and starting attacking.
Skull bosses are from a sigle player with Conan Exiles, not beta testing. The distance you need to go is reasonable,if you make the enemies go away from where they are, they go back.
I think this happens in more camps, but don´t remember what camps,in other camps they go further trying to kill you.
Happening for me on my private server (myself and 1 other player), and it’s the reason I stopped playing. No point in playing when enemies don’t fight back.
