Bounty Hunter rewards: "...selectable T4 thrall. Named followers, special armor and weapon fittings, and new decorative placeables per faction."

So what were these weapon and armor fittings, Named followers and decorative placeables? How was a “T4 thrall” “selectable”?

Anybody get these?

That turned out not to be true. They just gave a pack with a small amount of resources, one firework, five crystals for repairing legendaries, and one thrall. So that thrall wasn’t “selectable”.

Here are the thralls I got (in single player):

The “Health per Vitality” stat is what may make them interesting. They both seem to be copies of one class of Khitan slavers we could thrall by hand during the event.

The Kithan Slaver has a Tiger’s Truncheon and a Dead Womans` Tresses in his inventory. His Dogs of the Desert brother does NOT. That looks like an oversight.

As expected, a nice little bonus, but nothing warranting complaints about the competition aspect. One could get the same stuff with little effort during the event; it’s just a nice little token award.

From what I understand (and I could be wrong) is that only the person who got #1 on the rankings even got a reward. #2 through #5 got nothing.

Easy reward in single player. But competing against other players for the #1 spot on a public server? Oof. Doesn’t seem worth the reward.

I managed to get the Khitan Slaver…nothing like that in the inventory though, so I guess that isn’t guaranteed.

Anyway, looks like Funcom pads their event announcements with fake rewards that literally don’t exist, just wanted to confirm. Lie to generate players is some strategy.
Otherwise, hey, where are the weapon and armor fittings? What are they called so I can verify they ever existed by just simply looking in the admin panel.

So… I guess most of it was there.

No idea what the “selectable” thrall was. Or what the armor/weapon fittings were supposed to be.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Huh. I think I’m missing one of the fireworks. Thought I got them all, but I’m pretty sure I only got five of them. Oh well, not like I was really going to use them…

Pathetic health pools for those slavers, eh?

LOL

Level them up and then say that.

There are six fireworks altogether. I thought there were only five at first but accidentally found the sixth while looking for the bow.

May just be me but I consider the fireworks to be pretty spiffy.

Color me amazed if those thralls don’t get nerfed.

Since it was difficult to find info that I was reasonably sure was accurate I went into single player and got the damage multipliers so I’ll list those here for anyone that’s curious.

T1 Khitan Slaver. 400 and some odd hp’s when placed. Melee multiplier of 2.34, ranged is 3.25.

T2. 1400 and some odd hp’s. Melee multiplier of 1.4, ranged is 1.9.

T3. 1900 and some odd hp’s. Melee multiplier of 1.6, ranged is 2.3.

To state the obvious, the multipliers make no sense unless the T1’s were intended to be glass cannons. Though they left out the glass part.

Feel free to correct me if I got anything wrong.

I can imagine they might be fun on a server - but on singleplayer they’ll probably be kinda ‘one and done’, so it might’ve been nice to have them all, but I doubt it’ll be a major loss. As it is I’ve got more alchemical base than I’m ever going to use, plus all the other stuff.

I haven’t looked at the numbers on the thralls yet (haven’t had time to log in since the event ended…), but from what I’ve seen on discord, it looks like the reward thralls are number 2. (But with a health per vit of over 400 they’ll get pretty major health pools - unless/until the nerf hammer hits…)

It’s rather crazy on the hp’s. The T1’s can break 9k and I’ve seen 30k on someone else’s T3.

The bow and staff too, more I overlooked apparently. Anyone get those?

“new arcane focused staff” “legendary bow” …where? And “flashy VFX placeables” ???

Something I just noticed was those slavers who leveled up with outrageous health pools…

They are not glass cannons.. but they seem to be doomed to die regardless of what you try to do to prevent them from dieing. As if they are cursed to die.

I stood and watched the one I had slowly loose his health while not even in combat.

But he began losing health during combat and even continued losing health after combat.

No potions or wraps could stop it.

Edit: My partner noticed something that indicated he was “gouged” that was the cause of his losing health. But after some experiements with wraps and potions, he seems to be no longer losing health, but is regaining it.

Edit 2: What seems to have worked is to keep them alive until the condition that is killing them passes. If that isn’t kept up until they start healing again, they will die.

I wouldn’t worry about the large health pools on these guys - the public beta patchnotes have already announced the nerf…

Bit of a shame on that. Reminds me of a very different era of Conan, the one where Thunderfoot had 100k hp.

They’re already rare-enough event thralls (As the vast majority of them went straight to the bounty board turn-in’s,) and the people most likely to complain about them are pvp-side where the chance one of them survives long enough to even reach level 20 let alone exist for a whole week… is unlikely at best.

I’m well aware that there’ll be the usual calvalcade of “but I’ve kept X alive Y long” but seriously, pvp server, something with incredibly high hp? Oh no, no, people will hunt those down & gas them to death rather than deal with them on a good day.

I’d be all for letting them continue to be weird outliers. It’s nice to have a bit more diversity beyond cultist, Snowhunter, another cultist, ravnir, a third cultist, maybe colvric, and the black corsairs elites.

If I may make a suggestion to y’all:

The time to voice your opinions about how these thralls should be change is now, and here is the thread for it:

For those who invested time into collecting these thralls, check out the testlive when it’s online and look if you’re happy with the new stats.

The patchnotes are worth skimming for other points, too. People wanted bug fixes, and bug fixes they deliver.

Yes, only for PC/Steam currently, but well, that situation is what it is.
