Dont like this new crying song. Turns me off as soon as i launch the game. The one before was so much in theme, kickass barbarian tune straight from the 80s Conan movies!
At least make it an option, like in Total War Warhammer 3 you can change the main menu background picture
The fact that they didn’t realize that a song composed of someone crying for the first half of the song, meaning most of the time we spend in the menu, wouldn’t be appealing to listen to, even once, is only the icing on the cake of their lack of understanding what’s pleasant for their player base.
And yes, this sentence I just wrote is painful to read but not even close to listening to this song once. Got me to turn off music in 15 sec after launching the game and never turned it back on.
I’m surprised they didn’t remove nudity and gory details from the game to appeal to a broader audience…

Having an option to switch it wouldn’t hurt. But I suggest turning down the rhetoric a little bit. You don’t like the song, not “the playerbase”. That’s a valid opinion; music is obviously a matter of taste. But don’t try to speak for others or even all others.
I agree it’s the first thing that chocked me launching the game. I just shut it as fast as possible i don’t like it. Second thing was the name of the update. “Enhanced”. Guys let’s play “Enhanced”! Please the communication you can do better!
There will be mods for that. Until then, there is always the music volume slider.
This is a very special music, brought back from Age of Conan. For those of us old enough to remember, it is a beautiful addition to the game. As a member of said player base: I love this new menu music, it’s nostalgia! It is also hope for those affected by the terrible tragedy of Utøya!
