Platform: Steam Issue Type: Gameplay Game Mode: Online Official Server Type: PvE-Conflict Map: Exiled Lands Server Name: 1942 Mods: =MODS= Bug Description: When using the Acheronian Pick, you do not harvest Starmetal nodes. The starmetal nodes will act as if you are mining it, and it will break and vanish; but you will get no starmetal ore from it. Bug Reproduction: Equip an Acheronian Pick with a advanced tool upgrade on it. Blow up the starmetal shell with a explosive arrow, or a demon fire orb. Harvest the blue starmetal. After it breaks, notice no starmetal ore inside inventory. Replicated this in all starmetal areas. Switching to another non-Acheronian Pick mining tool remedies the situation. ---

Since the last update you have to have a hardened steel pick or better to get starmetal it is in the patch notes. Good luck @D3LIRIUM ---

Isn’t Acheronian higher grade than hardened steel? Or at least used to be. ---

Yes, it should be. They probably set it as a lower quality accidentally. ---

Seems like they missed a trick here. Given that Acheronian tools are crafted of ancient magic, they could have added a spell to temporarily awaken the magic within. Picks might be more likely to harvest rare resources like a 50% chance of gold or ash from obsidian. Weapons might add a magical DOT on top of their existing effects. Certainly be a reason to use them. The trip from hardened steel to star metal is not long enough to justify the effort of crafting Acheronian. ---

No, prior to the update both Acheronian and Hardened Steel were Tier 4 The Chapter 2 update changed the Acheronian to Tier 3 Whether it was accidental or on purpose, we don’t really know for sure, but the change itself was made so we know that this is the exact reason for why it’s not harvesting 🙂 Star metal now cannot be harvested by anything below Tier 4 We’re sort of guessing thou that it wasn’t deliberate since the pick still sports the harvesting power and other properties of T4 picks and it’s only the internal itemtier that got bumped down a notch. ---
