On steam they released a hotfix and it says something about having the servers have attribute stat reset switch. Meaning they can reset at will or resets anyone who exceeds a specific limit. There you guys go, freedom and less things to complain on the forums about. Love the game 
They corrected the attributes because there were too many players with attributes beyond the allowed limit.
