The man didn’t come here to listen to you defend the issue, he came here to report a issue he found. I’m not sure why you feel the need to say no big deal or whatever, but it doesn’t matter. You sir, need to go do somthing else instead of trying to pick fights with people that are actively trying to test and help the game out.

No, not really.

You clearly thought it was a “bug”:

He was just offering up the possibility that it may not be. He also pooh-poohed the feature which seemed to offend your sensibilities - and so you two went at it a little. But that doesn’t mean it is or isn’t a bug. And now that the team has it in their queue it’s up to them to check… it’s been received and out of our hands at this point.

You came here with a very vauge comment about the mass cull spell. That is just open and asking for a conversation, debate, argument, whatever you wanna call it. This place is meant to be open to discussion. He chose to come in and start a discussion with you, which he disagreed with your statement, and you choose to take it personally

This being a testlive forum when I post about an issue I expect “OH? I’ll check that out”. Not. “it’s not a bug because I want to argue with you”. You did read the post where Ard_Galen admitted they didn’t care about the bug just didn’t like the way I posted about it.

And what part of “Mass cull no longer harvests gold or raw ash.” is vague?

And I aught to be back up there testing it not defending myself here.

Well in my opinion your post was vague, if it was intended as a bug report theres no screenshots, no numbers comparing what you were getting before compared to now, nothing for the devs to work off of, and not really much to start a conversation. Also no need to be here defending yourself when you can just walk away and go enjoy the game. And im not gunna continue to discuss this with you further, so you can go continue to play and enjoy the game

okay this is kind of blowing out of proportion, so lets talk clear for a second and then i hope we’re on the same page.
what happened: you reported a bug, i answered by saying i don’t think it is one, then we went back and forth and

that was the point where i started to think you’re not taking things seriously, and since you did clearly dismiss my point without thinking about it just cause it didn’T align with yours, thats why why we are where we are now.
i really don’t intend for this to keep the thread up way longer than its relevant, so unless you really want me to say something public on that i’ll probably be out here to leave this topic to rest.

okay, even though i didn’t want to chime in here i do have an update on the topic itself. Which is, that it isn’t technically true. Rare items like raw ash and gold DO still drop, just at RIDICULOUSLY low droprates. Which indicates further that the op was right and it is indeed a bug.

I did the experiment and went and did mass cull on several places in the volcano, and in the end i got around 450 stone per raw ash (derived from having 4.5k stone in my inventory and 10 ash), and 1 gold ore per 150k stone, which isn’t derived from anything because i literally got 1 gold ore when i got around 150k stone.

drop rates for iron from rocks are also pretty low, considering the amount of culled rocks on some occasions, but i managed to reliably get around 10-20 iron every other cull.

edit: i just tried culling silver ore in the mine and those seem weird as well, sometimes you get silver ore, sometimes you just don’t get anything.
